Chapter 19: Frost Bite

(Warning, this chapter contains gore!)

"Oh, darn it!" said Xavier as they were walking to Milze's place.

"What?"asked Ellen.

"While going to Milze's house, we go straight passed Arron's house."

"Why does that matter? He probably won't even be outside when we go by."

"Yeah,he will be, he always hangs outside on his porch reading during this time of the day. Every time I go by he's there."

"He already knows, so..."

"I don't want anyone else to get more involved in this anymore."

"Fine, what do you want to do then?"

"Let's take the back roads, so we'll be behind his house,"

They began walking behind the back road when they heard something.

"Xavier, is that you?!" shouted Arron from afar.

"I thought you said he would be out front," muttered Ellen.

"I thought so too," cringed Xavier.

Arron came over and said, "what are you guys going this way for?" Then he saw Ellen's condition.

"Are you guys okay? Did something bad happen?" exclaimed Arron.

"Oh,we got dirty from a job we were doing. He... he-" faltered Xavier.

"That doesn't explain the blood stains all over your clothes."

"I have been caught!" thought Xavier.

"We were in a gruesome fight, we lost a lot of Crystals and we lost a friend, and now we are trying to get to Milze's house," said Ellen.

"What the heck, Ellen!" shouted Xavier.

"What? We had to tell him sometime."

"I am so sorry, is there anything I can do to help?" asked Arron.

Ellen looked at Xavier and said, "we could use the help."

"Ellen, I don't want to ask any-"

"Xavier, I'm not going away now, I want to help you guys."

"Fine, lets go," sighed Xavier.

"Thanks, Xavier."

As they made it to Milze's house, the temperature was dropping and the clouds got dark.

"What's up with how cold it is out here? It's already 50 degrees and we are in the middle of July!" shivered Arron.

"It's Fraser, he was talking about something about snow," said Xavier.

"We're here," said Ellen.

They went up to the door and knocked.

Milze answered with a look of worry on her face.

"What's wrong?" asked Xavier.

"It's Zona."

"And that's when I stabbed the Crystal," said Milze.

"We need to take her to the hospital," said Xavier.

"How? We're just five kids with two of us being injured, so how are we going to take her there with her being passed out?" said Milze.

"Why don't we just call an ambulance?" asked Arron.
