The Crystals Emerge

Chapter 10: He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not

Xavier was walking down the stairs when he heard a knock on the door. Xavier opened the door: it was Haze. He was crying.

"What's wrong?" said Xavier.

"It's Zona. She broke up with me."

"Oh,okay. Sorry, Haze."

Haze went into Xavier's kitchen. He opened the freezer door and pulled out a tub of ice cream. Haze grabbed a spoon and got on the couch. He started to eat the ice cream.

"My ice cream!" shouted Xavier. Xavier's phone rang: it was Zona. "Um,Haze, I have to take this." Xavier went outside. "What is it?"asked Xavier.

"I need you to come dance with me for the prom," said Zona.

"I can't do that. Haze would hate me. Wait, why did you break up with him?"

"Because he didn't take me anywhere and I stopped liking him."

"Fine,but you have to talk to Haze first."

"Fine,I'll talk to him."

"Wait,when is it?" he asked.

"It's tomorrow," she said nervously.

"WHAT!?Do you know how long it would take me to plan?"

"Good luck." The phone call ended.

Xavier sat on the deck stairs. Xavier's dad came out of the house and said"Hey Xavier."

"Hey Dad," Xavier sighed.

"What's wrong?" said Xavier's dad. Xavier explained what happened to his dad. "Well son, go with your heart and do what you think is right."

"Thanks Dad." Xavier's dad went food shopping. Xavier went inside.

Haze looked at Xavier with a furious face. "You-you-you did this to me!You stole my girlfriend."

"What?No! She wants me to dance with her-"

"I don't want to hear it." Haze walked out.

It was the next morning. Xavier and Zona were working on their dancing together at Zona's . apartment. They heard a scraping noise outside.Xavier and Zona ran outside to see what it was. There was a Crystal and one of the people from the other group.

"Why is there only one of them?" said Xavier. She did some back flips then the cloak that she was wearing blew off. She had long brown hair with a white mask on.

"Oh,come on, June, you should just give up," said the Crystal.

June started to do some spins jump's and whirls to beat up the Crystal with her dancing. The Crystal went back to normal.

"June,wait, why are you doing this?" said Xavier.

"I learned the reason that Crystals were made for. When someone dies they go to heaven. God made a mistake about killing those 20 people,so He made them into Crystals. He shot them all down to the ground to live a happy life."

"So each Crystal died, but God doesn't make mistakes."

"He did this time."

"What does that mean and why didn't Joshua tell me this?"

"Each Crystal has a back story before he became a Crystal, but they don't remember until you get something from his time to remind him about it."

"The Cake Crystal. That's what he was talking about when he said 'my lost love'. They must be connected," said Xavier.
