Two months have past since the craft fair. Zona's mom's body was found floating in a lake a couple blocks away from the school a week after the fair. Zona moved in with Xavier. There was an investigation for the man that was killed at the craft fair, but the case was closed for lack of evidence.
Milze's phone started to ring as she was doing her homework.
"Yes,"said Milze.
"Hey Milze, I was wondering if you and me can hang out, and go do some shopping today?" said Zona.
"Yeah sure, what time do you think?"
"Does after lunch sound good?"
"Sounds good to me, but am I going to your house or are you coming to my house?"
"Can you come to mine?" said Zona.
"That's fine."
"Sorry,I'm just still scared about going places alone."
"Don't worry girl, I got you."
"Thanks Milze."

Milze got her socks and shoes on and started walking to the front door.
"Where do you think you're going!" shouted Milze's mom.
"Oh,hi mom, I thought you went to work?"
"I got off today, but you didn't answer my question."
"I'm going out shopping with Zona."
"You aren't going anywhere with those people!"
"Mom,what are you talking about? Zona and Xavier's family are very nice people."
"Don't talk back to your mother!"
"Mom,this isn't you."
"Go to your room!" shrieked Milze's mom.
"But Mom, what's wrong?"
"Give me your phone!"
"Why?"
"Listen to your mother and give me your phone!" Milze's mom put out her hand for the phone.
"Fine,here." Milze gave her mom the phone.
"Now go to your room."
Milze ran to her bedroom. She slammed the door and locked it.
"There is something really wrong with her," thought Milze.

Zona and Xavier were in the living room talking and watching TV when it hit 12:30.
"Okay Zona, I'm going," said Xavier.
"Have a fun time with Jaden," said Zona.
"Heard anything from Milze yet?"
"No,but you know her, she's always late."
"Do you want me to stay till she gets here?"
"No you can go, she's just probably running late."
"Okay,I'm off then, bye Zona."
"Bye Xavier."
