The Crystals Emerge

Chapter 5: Information

"Who wants to start?" said Joshua.

"I will," spoken Xavier. "Where did the crystals come from?"

"All of the crystals came out of the ground. We don't know where we were made."

"I'll go next," said Haze. "Why do you guys have human names?"

"I'm not sure," said Joshua.

"My turn," said Zona. "How many crystals are there?"

"There is exactly twenty crystals."

"So why do we need to capture all twenty of the crystals?" asked Xavier.

"If all twenty crystals unite, the whole world would be destroyed." said Joshua.

Haze picked up a crystal and said, "Why can't we just destroy one so the whole world doesn't get destroyed?" He was just about to squash the crystal.

"I wouldn't do that if I was you," said Joshua.

"Why not?" said Haze.

"If you try to destroy a Crystal, you will instantly die and the crystal will just regenerate, so there's no point."

"So how can we destroy them?" said Zona.

"There is no way to destroy a crystal," said Joshua.

"So when we summon a crystal, why doesn't it try to kill me?" said Xavier.

"Because you're the owner of the crystal. Once you grab a crystal, now you're the owner of it."

"You're basically saying that we need to collect all twenty crystals, but not put them together or the whole world will die."

"Yup,you're right."

"Well,how about your powers?"

"What do you mean?"

"Earlier,when we were in a fight with the cloud Crystal, you said that each Crystal has a certain power. Your power was fire and torches, but when we were in the pawnshop you pulled out a flaming sword. How does that work?"

"Crystals can grab any weapon around them. There was a metal sword collection behind me, so I just grabbed one of those and lit it on fire."said Joshua.

"We can find every Crystal and you will battle it, right?" said Xavier.

"No,I was just showing you how to do it. I'm not going to battle them all. You would have to do that,"

"Why can't you help us?"

"You have a limit of how many times you can use me. My brother and I are the only ones that can do it for some reason. I don't know why,"

"What do we get out of it?" said Haze.

"Every Crystal you get can be used if you're in a tight spot. You have that power and you can save the whole world. Is that a good enough reason?"

"Yeah.What do you guys think, would you guys want to save the world and get a little power with it?" said Xavier

"I'm in," shouted Zona.

"Me too," said Haze. "How are we going to protect ourselves against the Crystals?" asked Xavier.

"You guys can get any kind of weapon," said Joshua.

"How am I supposed to get a weapon?" spoke Xavier.

"Wait guys, my mom has a mace. I can use that," told Zona.

"How does you're mom have a mace?"questioned Haze

"It's a family heirloom," said Zona.

"My dad has a collection of guns, so I can grab one of those,"explained Haze.

"Hey Joshua, can anything be a weapon?" asked Xavier.

"Yes,anything can be a weapon, and if you touch your weapon with a crystal your weapon will get powerful and can do special stuff too."

"Cool.My sister has a baseball bat, I can use that," said Xavier.

"Just letting you guys know that there are other people out there that know about the crystals. They will hunt and kill you if they have to, so be careful," said Joshua.

"Okay,"said Xavier.

"Am I done now?" asked Joshua.

"One more question," said Xavier. "Can Crystals team up with each other?"

"Yes,Crystals can team up with each other. Can I go now?" said Joshua.

"Yes,you can go now,"

"Bye guys," said Joshua.

"Bye Joshua," said Zona and Haze.

"So are you guys excited?" asked Xavier.

"I'm really excited," cried Zona.

"Me too," squealed Haze.

"Cool.Let's not tell any of our friends. I don't want any of them to get hurt"

"Okay," said Zona and Haze.
