We dashed through the air, dodging incoming wildfire left and right

We dashed through the air, dodging incoming wildfire left and right. Bruce quickly strapped himself in next to Thor and began to press various buttons while I sat in the middle of them, tightly gripping my chair's armrests as we continued to gain speed at a rapid rate.

We neared the Devil's Anus at a vast speed. As the spaceship accelerated, I felt myself being pushed deeper into my chair by the G-force. Miek and Korg seemed to have the time of their lives, strapped tightly to the ship's sides while Bruce and Thor did their best to steer straight towards the Anus. I couldn't even fathom how long the two of them had been stuck in that basement.

A horrible sense of suspicion rose in my chest when a loud bang, followed by a hard jolt to the right sounded through the interior of the ship. The expression on Banner's face confirmed my fear; we'd finally been hit by one of the Grandmaster's ships.

Immediately, the Commodore threatened to lose speed.

We did the only thing we could do, as the Commodore possessed no cannons or other weapons for us to defend ourselves with. Blinding white sparks of lightning followed by bursts of thunder filled the sky as we rushed toward our only means of escape.

"Hang on tight!" Bruce yelled towards us.

I prepared myself for the worst, tightly shutting my eyes so I didn't have to witness my own death. I knew there was a large possibility that our ship wasn't making enough speed, meaning we wouldn't be able to go through the Anus and make it out alive. I refused to let the giant hologram of the Grandmaster floating menacingly in the azure sky be the very last thing I ever saw.

The Commodore's engines started to overheat. Buttons across the entirety of the control panel flickered red. We couldn't stop now, we'd come too far to give up.

"Take the wheel!" Thor yelled at Banner, whose eyes widened in terror at the nearing blackness.

"I don't know how to fly one of these!" He shouted as Thor rose from his seat.

"You don't have a choice!"

I finally gathered the nerve and opened my eyes, screaming in horror when I saw nobody behind the wheel. I unbuckled my seat belt and quickly made my way towards the two bickering men, before pushing Thor out of the way and strapping myself into the driver's seat. Adrenaline pumped through my veins, and blood thundered through my ears.

"I have to take the other ships down," Thor told us, "We'll never make it with them on our tail!"

Banner turned to me as Thor quickly jumped out of the hatch and strapped himself back into the seat beside me, his hands just as shaky as mine as I grabbed onto the wheel and began to steer us back towards the Anus. I'd played video games before, so as long as I pretended to be in a simulation, I'd be okay. I hoped.
