"So what's the plan?" Bruce asked after he, too, had woken up.

We would reach Asgard any minute now; I could feel it. The tension on the ship rose with each passing mile. It hung heavy between all of us; we could barely breathe.

Hela was getting stronger by the minute. We all knew it. I chose to ignore the sense of despair for now, but I knew I couldn't keep it down much longer. The faster I'd get off the ship, the better. I needed fresh air, as much of it as possible, because I felt as if I could hardly breathe.

I didn't want to hurt any of my friends by accident.

No one seemed alarmed, at least not for the time being, because I managed to hide the growing anger and fear reasonably well. I'd been doing it for years now. Suppressing who I truly was was the only way I managed to stay sane all these years.

I sighed absently and picked at my nails when I thought about how my father was the same way, always hiding how he felt so the people around him didn't have to suffer his feelings. I honestly did take after him. The older I became, the more I realized this. A pang of sadness hit me when I pictured him like he was when I was still a child.

I didn't often think of my father anymore. Either he had been taken by the men who'd come to capture me that day, or he... I didn't want to think of it. It was better this way, allowing my dad to live on in my memories, where my mutancy had not yet tainted me or our relationship.

After a while, I figured Bruce might suspect something was wrong because he kept throwing glances at me. I ignored his stares for the most part, but eventually, his behavior began to get on my nerves.

"What are you looking at, Banner?" I snapped.

"Whoah," Thor stepped in between us, "What's wrong?"

"He keeps staring at me, and it annoys the living daylight out of me."

Bruce recoiled. "I- I'm sorry! It's just that your eyes, I think they're glowing. I mean, they are glowing. Unless I'm imagining it." He pointed at me.

I quickly ran towards the back of the ship and looked out a small window. I could hardly see my reflection through the glass, but I saw two white glowing orbs looking straight at me. Shit

"You're not imagining it after all. Are we nearly there yet? I need to get off this ship asap."

"Almost," The Asgardian replied, "What's going on?"

"Remember what I told you out on the junkyard?" I placed my hands on my sides and looked at him expectantly, "I think I'm freaking out."
