Chapter 3
//Rose//
"I'm sure of it Rose, that was Taylor!" Madison argued, expressively gesturing to the air.
"I doubt that," I sighed, shutting the door of my locker "Why would Taylor Swift appear in my dream? I'm not even a swiftie!"
"The weirdest people appear in dreams, Rose." Madi lectured me, "One time, I dreamt that Five Seconds of Summer invaded the town and you, Chris, and I had to fight them with nerf guns!"
"And how did that end?" I looked at her curiously.
"Well, I woke up..." She admitted, "But anyway! We're staying from the topic! Rose, that has to be Taylor!"
"But what about the little girl with blue eyes? Who's that?" I interjected, huffing.
She shrugged, "Beats me, Probably her niece or something. There's rumors of her brother getting married, not sure though."
"Well, I don't think so." I sighed again, running my hand through my hair. "The little girl had a suitcase beside her. As if she was going somewhere by plane" I recalled.
"Maybe it was a fan. Who found her way to the hotel room accidentally and Taylor invited her to stay for a while so she called the front desk to ask what room the little girl was in!" Madi suggested.
I shrugged yet again. "Most likely. It sounds like something she would do anyways."
Although I still didn't really get why I'd have a dream like that. Madison's explanation made sense and all but...
The puzzle pieces just don't click.
There's something off... I feel like I can't just shrug away that dream...
After all, if I can't explain small cases like this how am I ever become a detective?!
Oh right, I never did say. My ambition is to be a detective, and all. Mystery is my favorite genre, and most of the time I would solve the case before the characters would! Or perhaps, guessing can be a talent too?
Madison began chattering about her dad getting a box of Taylor Swift merch for her on the way to the mall.
It's Friday so we got to explore the mall or go wherever.
"Roseeeeeeeee!" Madison complained "Why can't we go to Forever 21?"
"Because you'll buy too much and in the cashier you'll run out of money and ask me to lend you money," reasoned, dragging her away from the store, "You owe me nearly a hundred dollars Madison!"
"Well sorry!" she exclaimed pouting. "But those clothes were calling my name!"
"No they were not or I would've heard it." I rolled my eyes, sighing.
"That's cause only I can hear them!"
"No one can hear them Madi," I sighed again. "Let's just watch a movie aye?"
"Fine" she grumbled, "But you owe me that-"
"Red tour t-shirt I know I know" I completed her sentence like it was nothing, "What movie do you want to watch?"
"DA FAULT IN OUR STARSSS!" Madison exclaimed
"Madi you watched that 22 times already," I scolded her, dragging her towards the movie schedule.
"Well what else do you wanna watch?" Madi asked, placing her hands on her hips sassily. "Cause you know what I wanna watch!"
I rolled my eyes.
Of course she wants to watch that How to train your Dragon 2 movie, if she wasn't able to watch her oh-so-favorite movie.
Not that I have anything against The Fault in Our Stars.
"Well if we're watching that I'll need my 100 dollars tomorrow," I smirked. "But the movie and popcorn is on me."
Madison groaned but in the end like always, agreed.
The first movie 'How to train your Dragon' came out like years and years ago. Practically when I was still a baby. Then the sequel 4 years later. Then the last movie 2 years later. Now that there wasn't much to show, they were using repeats. And now since Madison loved the movies, she wants to watch them, even if they were basically older than her.
Honestly, I loved the movies as well.
Now I wonder what it is to watch them now that we experience feels and stuff, now that Madison and I are professional fangirls.
We bought the tickets and popcorn and ran inside the movie house.
We were running a teeny bit late.
Although once we took our seats Madison freaked out.
But so did I.
But I did it silently unlike this certain orangehead beside me.
Because the cheif (aka, father of Hiccup) Stoick just yelled "That's my future daughter-in-law!" to Astrid (aka girlfriend of Hiccup) who won the dragon race and I nearly dropped the popcorn I was holding and Madison squealed.
Luckily most the theater did the same, so no one cared.
Seeing that most of the people in the theater were probably a decade older than us. Little kids, not so much.
After all, this is the only mall that has a special screening of old movies.
Basically, it locates the fans of that movie in their generation.
I've never silently screeched to myself in forever, mainly because I always keep my emotions in check, but you get it.
'Cause I was doing it right there in the movies.
Luckily others all around us were doing the same.
Mostly the girls.
Then there came the time when Hiccup's father died.
I swear 90% of the people watching were crying loudly.
Especially the woman who looked twenty who was sitting on my right side.
Then there's the last part.
I swear 99.9% of the audience gasped, squealed or screamed "Oh my god, YES!"
If you've watched the movie, you'll know that last part where Hicstrid happens.
~
"OH MY SWIFT THAT WAS AMAZING" Madison yelled enthusiastically as we exited the theater.
"I bet you said that the first time you watched it," I told her, smirking.
She shrugged, giggling. "Yeaa, I kinda did."
"Now Madi, to my house so we can get started on your Greek Mythology homework!" I exclaimed cheerfully, doing a thumbs up.
"Noooooo!!" she yelled, sulking as we walked out of the mall.
