“T-T-Terrance? What i-is hap... What did you do?!

He smiled. “You look amazing, June—red really does look good on you-”

“What the Hell did you do to me?!” Growling, she lunged for him, but only remembered at the last minute that she was naked, only covered by a few towels. She stepped back and shied away, trying to hide from him.

“What did you do?” she repeated, now with her back to him, blushing as she glanced over her shoulder.

His smug grin was awful. “Nothing, I didn't do anything. Maya, however, performed a slight spell last night, when you were drunk. You approved of it, you know.”

          “I was drunk!” she snarled.

“Still, Maya thought she was doing you a favor. And she was; it's not a bad look for you, June.”

“I l-look...” She shook her head and tried to ignore her reflection in the mirror. But every time she moved even the slightest bit, the red in the corner of her eye caught her attention again. “I shouldn't look like this! Undo it!”

“No can do, June,” he said. “Right now, Maya is rather incapable of doing or undoing any spell. Not to mention the fact that this particular illusion spell, it's effects last long, and it will take a whole lot of power to undo it. So you'd better wait it out. It's not that bad, is it? The only thing that's changed is the color of your hair.”

“Yes, but...” She sniffed as her nose caught scent of something strange. “I smell different too!”

He chuckled. “Yes, you smell like fox. Like Joanne did. Also part of the illusion.”

She glanced at him again; despite everything, Terrance didn't seem the least bit worried. The opposite even: he was amused! He liked that she now looked more like a fox...

“This was your doing, wasn't it?” she said. “You wanted to change me into... into this.”

He didn't answer, but simply gazed at her.

“Stop staring at me!” she suddenly yelled. “Go away!” She wanted to throw him out of the bathroom, but was unable to use her hands; she was afraid that the towels would slip off if she made any large movements. “Get out of here, Terrance!”

It took him a second before he understood what she was saying—or maybe he was just reluctant to leave. But then, he turned around and exited the bathroom, saying, “I'll be waiting here. You get dressed.” Then he closed the door.
