Free Verse Poem

Christmas Morning

Out of bed,

Through the door,

Down the hallway,

Into the living room,

Under the tree presents wait to be opened.

On the table pancakes are waiting to be eaten.

Since the presents are opened,

On the floor there is wrapping paper.

After eating the pancakes, it is time for cleaning.

Outside goes the trash while the presents get stored away

From the inside out Christmas joy spreads

Throughout the world.

For now, it is Christmas morning.

I wrote this poem in 8th grade and I used it in my project for Short Stories and Creative Writing! xD I didn't know what to make a poem about so I looked through stuff that I had saved on my school's computer under my name and bam! My "Preposition Poem" from 8th grade. I wrote it in 2010 before Winter break. Good times, good times. :)
