"Girl I know."Damita sat Amari in her lap and tried to keep the phone to her ear. "I don't know where his ass is at."

She grabbed Amari's oatmeal out of the microwave and started to blow on it so that it'd cool down.

She grabbed a small spoon at sat down in front of her. Amari knew what time it was so she opened her mouth because she knew her mommy was about to feed her.

Damita gave her a spoonful of oatmeal and she started smiling. "Yeah, im listening."She put the phone on speaker and sat it on the table.

"I don't understand it all. I was dead ass sleep and he was up. He woke me up to get her like she's not his child too."Taniyah ranted over the phone.

"Oh no. Amaru knows better than to do some shit like that, but most of the time if I'm sleep Amari is sleeping with me. I get what you're saying though, he has his moments though."Damita continued to feed Amari.

"Ooh. Momma's baby was hungry this morning, hmm?"Damita wiped Amari's face and kissed her cheeks.

She took Amari's bowl to sink and washed it out. She got her sippy cup out of the dishwasher and filled it with milk.

Before handing Amari her cup, she let her out of the chair she was sitting in.

"Come on, we're going into the living room."Damita reached for her hand.

Amari held the cup up to her mouth with one hand and held onto her mother's with the other one.

Damita sat down on the couch and turned on the television. "Did you tell him that Tee? There's no use in you ranting about to me if you won't tell him."

Amari tried to climb up onto couch with her mother, but she was having a hard time. Damita saw her having a hard time, but she wanted to see if she could get up there on her own.

Amari got upset and put her cup down on the table. She tried to get back on the couch again, but she just couldn't get it.

She stood in front of mother and put her arms out. "Momma?"

Damita quickly turned her head and zoned out of what Taniyah was saying. "What did you say?"She asked her daughter.

"Momma."Amari smiled and stuck her hands out. "Momma."She laughed.

Damita picked Amari up and held her in her arms. "You make momma so proud."She smiled and started kiss Amari all over her face. "I can't wait until your daddy gets home so I can tell him."

"Daddy?"Amari repeated after her mother.

"Yes. Daddy."Damita smiled. "Tee, I'll call you back, okay?"She quickly hung up the phone and paged Amaru.

With no hesitation he called her back and she answered. "Daddy? Where are you?"Damita asked soon as she picked up the phone.

"I'm at my momma house. What's wrong, love?"Amaru asked concerned.

"Daddy! Guess what? Amari just said her first word. She said momma and I almost cried."Damita told him excitedly. "Baby, She said daddy too. I'm so proud of her."

"That's so good baby! Now we gotta watch what we say around her. She gone be repeating everything."Amaru chuckled. "I'm finna come home, aight?"

"Alright."Damita smiled and hung the phone up.

Amari handed her mother her cup letting her know she wanted more milk. Damita picked her up and took her back to the kitchen. "No more milk baby girl. How about orange juice?"Damita asked and Amari started smiling nodding her head.

Damita rinsed out her cup and poured some orange in then gave it back.

"Say thank you. Can you say thank you?"Damita cooed. "Come on, try for mommy. Say thank you."

"Than Chuu."Amari smiled.

"That's close enough." Damita chuckled and took her into the living. They sat on the couch and continued to watch tv.

"Look at daddies favorite girls."Amaru smiled as he walked through the door. "Hey baby."Amaru kissed Damita's lips. "Hey. Princess."He kissed Amari on the cheek.

"Daddy!"Amari laughed and clapped her hands.

"What y'all been doing all day?"Amaru asked.

"We actually just woke up about an hour ago."Damita replied.

"Let's goto the park."Amaru suggested. There was a park in their neighborhood that they could walk to and they had never been.

"Alright. I'll get her dressed."Damita took Amari upstairs changed her diaper, and both their clothes. She then grabbed Amari's stroller and they walked to the park.

When they got to the park, they took turns pushing Amari on the swing. They chased her around the park and let her feed the ducks.

After playing almost all day, they tired themselves and Amari out. Amari got so tired that she fell asleep in her stroller.

Damita put Amari in her bed while she and Amari took a quick shower. They didn't stay in because they were both ready to lay down. They had gotten a lot of exercise with Amari.

"You think we got time for a quickie before Amari wakes up?"Amaru smirked and pulled Damita close to him.

"We might."She smiled and kissed him his chest. "Give it to me, daddy."
