Damita ran to Amaru and jumped into his arms. "Daddy! I've missed you so much."She kissed him all over his face.

"I know. I missed you too." Amaru picked her up and she wrapped her legs around his waist. "I haven't seen you in a week."

"Feels like a year."Damita hugged him tight.

"You still wanna go out?"Amaru put his arm around her.

"Depends. Where we going?" Damita put her arms around his neck.

"Wherever you wanna go. I know you hungry, we could go get some food." Amaru shrugged

"Just us?" Damita asked. "Don't get me wrong, I love our friends. I just want us to be alone tonight. I missed you."She Gave him a quick peck on the lips.

"How about we goto the drive-in? See some movies."Amaru smiled.

"Yes! I'd love that. I have to take off my work clothes first. I still have clothes over here, right?" Damita got off his lap and walked to his bedroom.

"I actually just watched our clothes. Your clothes in your drawer like they always are."He followed behind her.

She looked through her clothes until she found some jeans and one of her T-shirts. "Did I leave my adidas here? I can't find them."

"Top of the closet baby."Amaru yelled from the kitchen as he poured himself something to drink.

Damita grabbed her shoes out of the closet and hopped in the shower. She bathed herself quickly and got out so they wouldn't be late for the movie.

She brushed her hair up into a ponytail and got all her things out of the bathroom.

"Ok. I'm ready to go now." Damita walked out of his bedroom.

Amaru grabbed his keys and her hand then they walked out of door.

Amaru stopped for gas then headed to the drive in.

"What y'all playing tonight?" Amaru asked as he pulled up to the ticket box window.

"My Cousin Vinny and Sister Act on screen 1. Class Act and Boomerang on screen 2."The same girl who always there told them.

"What you wanna see, baby?" Amaru asked her.

"I wanna see Class Act and Boomerang."Damita smiled

"Alright. Give me two for class Act and Boomerang."Amaru pulled a $20 bill out of his wallet and handed it to her.

"Screen 2 is to your right."She handed him his change and his tickets.

Amaru turned the corner and went to the section their movie was playing in.

"What you wanna eat, my love?" Amaru asked her.

"I want a strawberry shake and pizza."Damita replied. "Hurry back."She smiled.

Amaru walked to the concession stand and stood in line.

"Hey. Let me three slices of pizza and a large strawberry shake."Amaru told the cashier.

"We out of pizza for tonight."She replied,

"Aight. Well let me two nachos and a large sprite. Please make one with jalapeños on the side. My girlfriend will have a fit if you put them on the top."He grabbed his wallet out of his back pocket.

"We outta cheese for the nachos."She replied.

"Damn. What the fuck y'all got then?"Amaru caught an attitude.

"We got cheeseburgers , hamburgers , hot dogs, corn dogs, fries, chicken tenders, candy, pop corn, Ice cream."she told him. "Would you like a hot dog?"

"Nah. My girlfriend don't eat beef. Give me the chicken tenders with fries and sprite. A large one. If you say you outta sprite Ima drag your ass across this counter."Amaru pulled his money out and sat it in the counter.

"Oh we ain't."She turned around and grabbed what he asked for. "Any sauce for you?

"Give me barbecue sauce and some ketchup."He asked and she handed it to him.

Amaru scoffed at her and walked back to the car. "They was out of everything you like so I just got you chicken tenders."Amaru handed her the food. "Did I miss anything?"

"Not really. Kid and Play basically switched lives. Kid is kind of nerdy and Play is cool."Damita explained the movie to him.

Damita grabbed her food from him and started to eat.

"Baby. I've been thinking. You know how we haven't seen much of each other because we've both been working and in class so much?" Amaru put a fry in his mouth.

"Mmhmm." Damita replied, still looking at the screen.

"I think it would be amazing if I could see you everyday and sleep with you every night. Don't you think so?" Amaru asked her.

"Of course it would baby. That'd be great, but what are you trying to say?"Damita sipped her drink.

"I think we should move in together."Amaru shrugged.

"What would Joe think about that?" Damita asked.

"Well, that's the thing. Our lease is up soon and he's dropping out of college. So I just thought that you could move in and we could see each other more."Amaru sat his trash to the side and put his arm around her shoulders.

"That's a really big step, baby. Are you sure we're ready for that? I've always heard that you never really know someone until you live with them, what if we get tired of each other?" Damita pouted.

"No. We live together every summer at my momma house. I think we'll be fine. It was just a suggestion though. We don't have to if you not ready. I just thought it'd be a good idea."Amaru's voice had changed like he had gotten sad.

"No baby. I'm ready. I was just asking that's all. I'd love to live with you."Damita kissed him on the cheek. "I'm off tomorrow so we could go look at apartments."Damita smiled at him and grabbed his hand.

She was done eating, so she laid under him and they continued to watch the movie, occasionally staring up at each other.

"I love you, you know that right?"Damita smiled at him.

"How could I ever forget?"Amaru smiled at her then kissed her. "I love you too."

"More than anything? More than basketball?"Damita asked him.

"Yes baby, more than basketball."

A smile spread across Damita's face and she hugged him tight.
