Damita wrapped a small sarong around Amari's waist then picked her up, placing her on her hip. They were matching, their bathing suits had the same print. Only difference was that Amari had a one piece and Damita had two.

It was Tyneisha, Eric and Taniyah's daughter's 4th birthday and she was having a pool party and barbecue.

Although the party was in Ms.Audrey's backyard, the set up was nice.  They had rented a big pool, a moonwalk and had their favorite uncle on the grill.

"You ready to swim, baby?"Damita held her daughter in the air and gave her a kiss.

Amari shook her head and started to cling to her mother. She had only been in the pool with her mommy. She was scared.

"What's wrong with her?"Amaru walked up behind Damita, noticing his daughter pouting.

"She's a little scared of the pool.  She'll be alright though."Damita walked through the gate that lead to their backyard. She walked through, speaking to everyone and making her presence known before she went to sit with the girls.

"Matching swimsuits, you are so lame."Taniyah chuckled.

"Mind the business that pays you, ok? Me and my daughter look cute."Damita shot her the middle finger. "Where's Ty?"

"In that damn moon walk."Taniyah pointed.

"We got her a gift, Amaru is bringing it in."Damita hugged Taniyah then hugged Keisha. "Chanel is on the way, she's bringing her nephew."

"Girl."Taniyah rolled her eyes. "That hoe been on her way for two hours."

"You know Chanel, always gotta make an entrance."Damita chuckled. "Uh uh, what's wrong with you? You looking all mean."Damita poked Keisha.

"Look to your left. Tell me who you see."Keisha spoke lowly, so only Damita could hear.  Without making it obvious she looked to the left. She noticed a dark skinned woman that looked a bit familiar to her but she couldn't put a finger on who it was.

"Who is that?"Damita asked in a really low voice.

"Girl, that's mike ex-girlfriend. I keep telling Keisha my brother ain't worried her. She's just a family friend at this point. She's been really helpful throughout my daughter's life so she's going to be here whether you like it or not."Taniyah tried not to speak too loud.

"She's....pretty."Damita looked at her from the corner of her eye. "I'm sure they broke up for a reason though. If he wanted her he wouldn't be with you. He's been faithful."

Damita looked down at Amari who had started moving around in her lap. "What's your issue?"

"Can I go play?"Amari asked.

Damita took her arms from around her daughter and let her down. "Stay where I can see you, ok? Be careful."

Amari ran off to go play with the other kids. The girl talk was a bore to her.

"I hope you have that same energy when her sister gets here. She was fucking your man when they were younger."Keisha crossed her arms.

"Keyword bitch was.  I'm fucking him now. I have his last name and his daughter. You can not compete where you don't compare. Not only that, Amaru is nowhere near stupid. If he likes having air in his lungs, he would never."Damita took her shades from off the top of her head and put them on her face.

"What are you two going at it about?"Chanel walked up with two bags and her nephew walking behind her. She placed her gift on the table and sat on the other side of Damita.

"Same thing as always. She wants my man to cheat so bad."Damita rolled her eyes.

"Yall always at each other neck."Chanel shook her head. "Where's my baby?"
