The last day if their short travel dawned. The lush grass of the shire greeted them. Carts full of crops passed them by on the dirt paths, as little hobbit children played in the fields of  emerald meadows. Madelynn gave a happy sigh watching the young ones play. She sometimes missed the free days of her youth. Madelynn pulled a list from her pouch, it containing her patients and those who would most likely buy her medicine and tonics. "I have business to attend too. I guess this is where we say our goodbyes until further notice; My king." She winked. Thorin took her hand in his and gave it a gentle kiss, his beard running over the soft skin. "I will come and find you again soon, Fire emerald." His eyes meeting hers. Madelynn grew sad at saying goodbye again, even if it was for a little bit. "Do not worry yourself my love, we will be together before you realize." Madelynn nodded, and gave a soft laugh. Thorin returned her actions with a grin and set off.

After the four day trip, Thorins weary eyes were set on the green dragon pub and Inn. All he wanted to do was rest. For who knows how tonight would go with the last meeting of kin; that he could their last meal together.

Madelynn strode throughout the shires market, going to each stall getting supplies from each seller for the return journey home. She looked upon her list of items to get before she was to start her delivery route to the many hobbit holes. As she glanced up from her list, she saw a client of hers walk by. He was of course a hobbit. His well kept, yet shaggy sandy red hair bounced as he sauntered through the market square holding his groceries. His brass buttons which looked newly shined, and caught the sunlight; drawing anyones eye to him. His blue velvet jacket complimented his gold flower printed vest, and in-turn; made him look smart among the many handsome dressers of Hobbiton. Madelynn smiling, went to greet him to see if he was in need of anything or just conversation for the moment. "Mr. Baggins!" She waved, giving a cheerful cry. He turned his head quickly; giving a scowl and then preceding to scamper off and lose her quickly in the market crowd. She cocked her brow at his strange actions. She knew he was a naturally nervous person, but even this level of nervousness was staggering. Madelynn shook her head; and also shook the situation off as she went back to the task at hand, getting medicine to her clients.

The afternoon wore on, Madelynn glanced into her leather bag. It containing only a few prescriptions left. "It was nice to see Mr and Mrs Cotton. I hope that nausea tonic helps. I'm sure their baby will be the absolute cutest. Next is the Gamgee house, and then last is Baggend."

The sun sank into the green hills leaving soft yellows and and blissful oranges in the sky behind. The wagon rutted path way lead to the sod covered home. The house had round windows, a round door, and a stone laid path way led up to the door. A flower garden bent and waved in the summer evenings gusts. A bench sat right outside the green door. The gentle glow of the firelight inside lit the house up. It was a comfortable home, one that anyone would want to reside in. Madelynn knocked on the door. A rap of the knock went through the house pretty quickly, seeing as how quick the master of the house answered it. The hobbit swung the door open, a scowl stuck on his face. He was wearing his night robe from the looks of it. His scowl went away when he noticed it was Madelynn. "Mr. Baggins?" She questioned. He cleared his throat and straightened his posture. "Miss Madelynn. Forgive my appearance. I seem to have uninvited guests as of this moment." "I sure hope you don't mean me." She jested. Trying to clear the air of anger that seemed to fill the halfling. "No no, of course not. Come in. Make yourself at home in the tea room. I'll be there shortly." Madelynn nodded and stepped into the house, taking off her chestnut colored cloak and hanging it on one of the few racks at the entrance of the hall. She noticed the cloaks of the 'uninvited' guests Mr. Baggins spoke of. "You know if its too much trouble I will come back tomorrow Mr. Baggins. The tea will still be just as good." Madelynn joked while sitting in the tea room. "No no, right now is quite fine." He insisted, running off trying to stop his rowdy guest from destroying his home. The tea room is where she usually sat when she came to drop off her teas, medicines and tonics to the hobbit. He would offer her a small meal and freshly made pot of tea, or a small bit of wine as payment. She sat and waited patiently but grew concerned. The night was drawing late and by the sound of it, his guest kept rudely rummaging through his pantry. "Mr. Baggins if its too much right now I can come by tomorrow." She rung out. An older voice responded back saying that 'Mr. Baggins was busy at the moment.' Which made the apothecary scrunch up her face in confusion and wonder at who the voice belonged too. A knock was heard at the door. Madelynn's head shifted to the noise's direction. The hobbit came stomping to the door. Madelynn poked her head out slightly from the Tea room's entrance. He swung the door open, revealing two strapping young dwarves. A blond one with a braided mustache, and the other with dark umber hair and a stubble. They both bowed and proceeded to say their names "Fili," And "Kili." "AT YOUR SERVICE." As they walked in without a word, leaving a distraught Bilbo at the door. He looked to Madelynn who stood in the tea room observing everything; she was just as stunned as he was. her eyes widened as she recognized the two young dwarves.

Was this the gathering of kin Thorin spoke of?
