Dean drove me back home at around 8:00 am. We had breakfast at his place and since we still had to attend college, I had to come home early to get ready.
The drive was quiet and peaceful. We didn't talk about what happened earlier and I liked it better this way. We didn't have to talk about it and complicate things.
"Alright I'll see you later then." I said, taking off the seat belt, when he pulled up on our driveway.
He jolted out of his seat, rushing to open the door for me. I allowed him to do so with a big smile, and got out.
"Thank you." I pecked his cheeks quickly. He smiled at this, intertwining our fingers.
"Okay. I'll see you later, bye." Unlinking our fingers, I walked to my front door. I turned back to glance at him.
He continued staring and smiling. "Go." I chuckled, gesturing him to hurry.
With a lazy smile still plastered on his face, he made his way to the other side of his car and got in.
I waved at him as he took off and turned on my heels to get back inside my house.
When I rang the doorbell, I was welcomed by a face I hadn't seen in a while.
"Hey birdbrain. What are you doing here?" I smiled, throwing a punch on my brothers chest.
"Ow- yeah I missed you too." He said dryly.
"Where's mom and dad and why are you here?" I asked, walking inside the kitchen.
"Mom went next door to share her secret recipe with Xander's mom and dad went to the hospital for an emergency case. And I, am moving back home." He said casually.
I turned to look at him with my jaw dropping. "You're moving back home? Why?"
"There's no place like home." He said, closing his eyes as he plopped down on the couch.
"You're kidding. You're just broke and unsuccessful." I muttered the last part of the sentence to myself.
"Awh, I missed you too my baby sister." He gave me an unamused smile.
Rolling my eyes, I walked up to my room.
I had only a few minutes to get ready and drive to college, I cannot waste my time arguing with an idiot.

"Miss Park, you must make a decision latest by this week. The agency is very excited to hear more of your works." Mr. Lawrence, the head of our Music Production team informed, his face in a wide smile.
"Yes sir. Thank you sir. I will think it through and inform you at the earliest." I smiled and excused myself to go join my friends for lunch.
Life is treating me so good this year and that scares me. Who knows what comes next?
"Jane, I'll text you the details for the practice tonight. Kara and I have somewhere to be right now." Nick informed, smiling down at her.
"Eww, I don't even want to know where you're headed but take care of her." I snorted.
Kara hugged me quickly before grabbing a hold of Nick's hand and striding out, leaving me and Dean alone.
We both still haven't mentioned anything about what happened earlier this morning and I thought we were back to being normal, well almost.
Dean sat in front of me, leaning back on his seat. There was a boyish grin on his face and his eyes looked tired and sleepy.
"So, uh. It's just us today." I said, rubbing my nape.
He nodded, the grin still evident on his face.
"Do you uh, what are you-- are you free after lunch?" I asked, breaking the silence.
"Yes, I am." He slowly nodded.
"Come with me to the studio? I got this offer from an agency and they want to hear some of my newer demos. You can help me select one." I asked.
"I'd love to." He winked.
I simply smiled as a response but mind was replaying his wink over and over again. Who would've known that Dean and I could both make it out of the friendzone.
Just as I was about to ask him about us, Xander came running to our table followed by a very tired Madison close behind.
"Sup?" Dean patted Xander's back when he sat down beside him and Madison flashed me a smile and wave, before sitting down next to me.
"J, please do me a favour." Xander asked, still breathless from all the running.
Dean tsked at his friend and volunteered to go get him some water.
"What kind?" I asked.
"You see, Madison's spending the night at my place tonight."
Okay, pretty sure I didn't need to know but thank you very much for informing me.
Huh. My ex is informing me that he's possibly doing the deed with his girlfriend tonight. Could life get any better?
"And?" I asked, not understanding why they'd want to share that information with me.
"I have a match tonight." He informed, speaking every word extremely slow as if I was a retard.
A basketball match. How did I not know about this?
"So?" I mirrored his action of speaking rather slow.
"Keep her company before I come back? You know my mom right? Just keep Maddy with you till I come back." He pleaded, bringing back his puppy dog eyes which by the way, looks nothing like one and stopped working on me since 9th grade.
Just keep Maddy with you till I come back. What is she? A 6 year old? And what do I look like to you? A baby sitter?
"What?"
Oh boy, that sounded ruder than I intended it to.
