It was now 4 in the morning and I still hadn't fallen asleep. There were 4 boys that lived alone in the apartment just above mine and they always were up late playing music or doing something just as obnoxious. I have lived in this apartment since I was 12 and moved to Australia with my mum. But once she had passed away from breast cancer, I was left to have the apartment myself and all on my own. Now, I had never met the guys that lived upstairs as they had only lived in the apartment above mine for almost 2 months now.
I gave up on trying to sleep and rose out of bed, swinging my feet off of my bed and pushed my hair up into a ponytail before padding over to the door. As I walked up the stairs, I sighed angrily as the noise they caused only grew louder. I knocked on the door and waited for an answer. After waiting for a minute or two I knocked again, finally getting an answer. A guy with bright green hair answered the door, still loudly laughing at whatever had happened seconds before.
"Hello?" He spoke in a thick Aussie accent and turned back inside, shooing off whoever was near him.
"Can you guys keep it down please? I am trying to sleep but it is nearly impossible when you guys are causing such a raucous." I crossed my arms over my chest as another boy appeared, this one having a normal hair color and wearing a bandana and a ripped Rolling Stones tank top.
"I'm sorry, I didn't realize we were so loud. We will keep it down, won't we Micheal?" He turned to the boy with green hair, who's name appeared to be Micheal before Micheal turned away and walked back inside. "Look, I'm sorry about him. He's in a bad mood and we are just trying to cheer him up." He gave me a half smile while shrugging.
"It's fine, but its 4AM and I have to get up early tomorrow" I sighed before he nodded and turned, closing the door and I walked back to my apartment.

The next morning started a little to early for my liking, my alarm clock was blasting throughout the small bedroom and the sun shone through the window. I groaned, reaching over and slamming my hand down on the alarm, immediately turning off the annoying sound.
I sighed, rubbing my hands over my face and sitting up once again. It was now 7AM and I had to be at work in 45 minutes. I stood up, losing my eyesight for a second from getting up to quickly before padding over to my small closet and trying to find something to wear. I worked at a music store as and we had some new guy coming in, that I got stick with to train. I decided on skinny jeans that had holes on the knees, black vans and a ripped Nirvana shirt. It was required to at least wear a band shirt of some sort since it was a music store but other than that, it was a pretty easy job and very laid back.
I curled my hair and put on a normal amount of makeup, making sure to not go to heavy before grabbing my keys and walking out to the elevator. As I pushed the button and waited, I checked my phone and smiled to myself that I still had 20 minutes before work which meant I could go and get coffee from my favorite cafe before work. Once the elevator finally arrived, I stepped in and was greeted by the same boy that had saved me from..Micheal I think his name was. I slid my phone into my back pocket and looked up at him, just now realizing how much of a giant he was compared to my small frame.
"Hello again" He looked down at me and smiled, dimples faintly popping out of his cheeks as he did so.
"Hey" I nodded and turned to face away from him, not really wanting to continue this conversation.
"I like your shirt, you're a Nirvana fan?" He said, looking down at my shirt and then back at me.
"Thanks, and yeah. I work at a music store so I have to wear a band shirt everyday, but I would regardless" I shrugged and stepped out of the elevator as it opened in the lobby and started walking to my car.
Once I arrived at work, I had drank a whole cup of iced coffee and was now fully awake, ready for the work day to be over with. I walked into the small music shop, greeting my manager Coby and went to start sorting music that had come in late last night.
"Hey that new kid is back there! Don't forget you have to train him today!" Coby yelled to me over his shoulder.
I groaned to myself, muttering a couple choice words before running a hand through my hair and opening up the door to the storage room. I was greeted by the guy I had seen already twice in the past 24 hours.
"You're the new guy?" I raised a brow as I stepped behind him, causing him to turn around and face me.
"Oh hey! Yeah, I guess so" He chuckled before ripping open a new box of music and started to sort it, or attempting to sort it anyway. I laughed to myself and took the box and took it over to another shelf before setting it on a stool.
"Rock and Roll music goes on this shelf" I pointed to the label that was on the side of the shelf and smirked. He nodded and opened another box, this time putting it on the right shelf.
"I'm Ashton by the way" He smiled over to me and stuck his hand out for me to shake.
"Elsie" I gave him a half smile and shook his hand before returning to stocking the shelves, occasionally having to help Ashton.
We spent the day stocking the shelves of endless music and joking around with each other. Surprisingly he wasn't really as annoying as I thought and seemed like a nice person. Hopefully it would stay this way and everything would go smoothly.
A/N: I'm sorry this kinda sucks but I had to find a way for them to meet and everything. Don't forget to vote! I promise that this will get better and the chapters will get longer!
