Chapter 18

We sat across from eachother, a guitar in my lap and I was mindlessly strumming as Calum sat across from me, typing away on his phone. I took a deep breath and looked up at him, "Hey Cal?" I spoke softly, trying to hide the nervousness that was clearly evident. 

"Yeah?" He looked up, locking his phone and sliding it into his pocket.

"Can I sing you something?" I pulled my bottom lip between my teeth, tucking a stray hair behind my ear. 

"Of course" He nodded, leaning back as he watched me. 

I looked down at my hands, how they laidon the strings and closed my eyes, taking a deep breath and began to play whilst singing the lyrics that somewhat described my situation.. 

"Hey there it's good to see you again,

It never felt right calling this "just friends".

I'm happy, if you're happy, with yourself.

Take off your shirt, your shoes, 

those skinny jeans I bought for you.
