Lost Again

Escape

The next morning
-
     Midoriya, Bakugo, and Mitsuki were sitting at the table, eating their cereal when the news came on from commercial break. "We have some breaking news. One of our convicts have escape last night. He goes by the name of Stain. Also known as The Hero Killer. If any of you have seen any sightings of him, let the police know." The camera did a shot of the prison with blood splattered everywhere and crime tape around the scenes. "During his escape, he wounded fifteen police offers, and killed one; Officer Jones." Suddenly a picture of the guy that was stabbed in the chest from Midoriya's nightmare appeared in the top right corner of the screen. Midoriya and Bakugo exchanged glances.
"Aw that's so sad. Poor guy." Mitsuki turned around and looked at the two boys. "I don't want either of you walking to or from school alone. Got it?" She looked sternly at both of them, switching her pupils from Midoriya to Bakugo.
"Tch. Even if he did attack me, I could take him on." Bakugo stood up and brought his bowl to the kitchen. Midoriya followed behind. "What did you do Deku?" Bakugo whispered while rinsing out his dish.
Midoriya handed Bakugo his bowl so he can clean it out. "I didn't do nothing. The reason I brought it up yesterday was because of the nightmare I had. It was of Stain escaping."
Bakugo hissed, "you're still full of shit."
"I am telling the truth and I think you know I am." Midoriya left Bakugo while he went back into the living room to grab his bookbag. He opened the front door and walked out, waiting on the outside of the door for Bakugo.

"Hey Uraraka and Iida!" Midoriya waved as he walked up to the two talking.
"Hello Deku!" Uraraka smiled and Midoriya returned it. Iida then yanked on Midoriya's arm and pulled him aside, leaving Uraraka.
"Did you see the news this morning?" Iida questioned.
Midoriya nodded, while going into thinking mode. "If he escaped, then that could mean he's after revenge. What if he comes after us next? Or maybe he doesn't want revenge. Maybe he just wan-" Midoriya kept on muttering before Iida had a chance to stop him.
"Midoriya. We're gonna be fine. We defeated him before."
Midoriya placed his right pointer finger and thumb under his chin as he continued to counter Iida with logic. "Yeah but even that was just out of pure luck. We barely managed to make it out of there alive." The two went back and forth like this for a while; Iida trying to calm Midoriya's nerves, and Midoriya using his knowledge to reject Iida's consolation.

"What do you want Bakugo?" Bakugo appeared in front of Uraraka the moment Iida pulled Midoriya away.
"I have one question for you."
"Which is?" She folded her arms.
"What are you to Deku?" This question caught Uraraka in surprise; not just because she didn't know the answer, but she was also wondering about Bakugo's motives.
Her face became red as she avoided eye contact and started to sweat while rubbing the back of her neck. "I d-don't know! W-whay-why'ddd you ask??" She laughed nervously.
Bakugo just gave her a killer look before putting his hands in his pockets and turning away.
What am I to Deku? I don't know. What are we? This question continued to rack throughout Uraraka's brain.
Homeroom was about to start so everyone made their way up stairs. Maybe I should ask him... Uraraka thought as she walked up the steps. She entered the classroom and brought her fists up to her chest while her eyes stared at Midoriya with determination. She took a deep breath and walked up behind him. She tapped his left shoulder. He turned his head and looked at her. "H-hey Deku... can I ask you s-somethingshe stared at the ground.
"Izuku!" Midoriya turned his head back to the front. Uraraka also looked up and she saw All Might and Nezu standing at the doorway, with Mr. Aizawa standing in front of his desk. "Can you come here for a second?" All Might asked.
Midoriya turned back around to Uraraka, "can I talk to you during lunch?"
"Uh yeah, sure." She nervously laughed. Her heart was beating so fast. Midoriya walked to the front of the classroom and All Might and Nezu let Midoriya leave the classroom first, before following him.

Bakugo was walking around the halls when he heard an unfamiliar voice saying, "hey Midoriya." Out of curiousity, Bakugo hid behind a corner and peered behind it, where he noticed All Might, Nezu, and a dog-looking guy in a police uniform. The police dog kept talking, and it wasn't until he said something shocking, that made Bakugo actually listen in.

   

"It's...your mom"

[A/N- Just so my readers don't get too confused, Bakugo doesn't have any motives. He's just generally curious. Bakugo doesn't like Midoriya like that yet. But it's coming, I swear❤️]
