I stood infront of the floor length mirror going over my outfit. I hadn't packed a variety of clothes mainly because I wasn't planning to go out much.

I had managed to assemble a relatively respectable date outfit consisting of denim shorts, a cream satin top and bellies.
I wasn't sure where he was taking me, not that he was planning to word it out soon. But I figured since it was only five, it wasn't just dinner.
A soft knock sounded at my door catching my attention. The moment I opened the door, his mouth watering scent engulfed me.

"You look so beautiful." He said, letting out a long breath. Brandon looked as charming as ever, his dark jeans and black button up looked good enough to make my wolf whisper nasty things in my ear.

"You don't look so bad yourself."
I felt my cheeks heat up under his stare, he always managed to leave me flustered. He had done it before and he was doing it now.

His blue eyes darkened when he brought his hand up to cup my cheek.
Involuntarily my eyes closed and I felt his face lean in, the place we were connected small tingles danced around my skin.

His palm left my face and I immediately missed it's warmth, instead he took my hand in his and tugged me out. I wanted so bad to pull him back to me again, but I knew why he stopped, all in good time.

"Where are we going?" I asked, knowing what the answer was.

"Neverland." I laughed at that, when Brandon and I were six-seven years old we went through this phase where we were obsessed with Peter Pan. I remember making up stories about how I used to go to Neverland at night. In adulthood, Peter pan seems more of a pervert.

"You know, I believed you when you said you had seen the Chocolate Factory. I was so envious."

"You were way too gullible." He said smiling cheekily.

"Was not!"

"You agreed to run away with me, Ki." He retorted letting out another laugh.

"You said you'd buy me a candy house!" I wasn't not helping myself, was I?

"So?"

"So, I'd do anything for candy! And what I said when I was ten doesn't count."

We came to a stop at a place I recognized all too well.

"Still the only place there is internet connection?" I mused when Brandon came to my side to open the door.
He left me standing there as he went to get the other things, the willow tree stood tall just a few meters away.

We would sneak out, well I would but anyway, we started coming here because it was the only place in the woods where there was internet connection available and soon it became our hide out.

The willow tree was somehow hiden in plain sight, so many memories were present in this place. Every big step in Brandon and I's relationship was taken here.

"So, Netflix and chill?" Brandon suggested handing me his Mac book in one hand and balancing the blankets and what not on the other.

"Sounds perfect." And it did, I helped him place the blanket on the muddy ground which he assured me that Aunt Alvina won't get angry about.

Both of us settled, it felt like nothing had changed. It didn't feel weird to slip in under his arm as we both rested against the broad bark of the willow tree. It didn't feel weird when our legs pressed against one another, that had another feeling which was far from weird.

He placed the laptop half on his lap and half on mine but it lay shut making me look up at him.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I whispered, his eyes making the butterflies in my stomach flutter around.

"Like what?"

"Like you've just seen me now."

"Because now, I can see you in a different light. Somehow all the pain from our separation makes sense." I nodded, I had been there too.

"I'm sorry I didn't call." He added in a murmur, I could feel his finger twirling a strand of my hair.

"I didn't either." I whispered back, his closeness though familiar still made my heart race.

"I'm sorry for what I said when I left." I flinched at his words. I wanted to forget all about the last day I spent with Brandon. How he had disregarded me as a friend but I remembered it all clear as day. Since I was leaving and I knew he couldn't deal with that sort of a situation he had turned to pushing me away. Claiming that it didn't matter since I wasn't his mate after all.

"It's okay, just don't push me away like that again."

"I won't, I promise." His eyes met mine, talking to me the way no words could.
Slowly he inched closer, my eyes dropping to his lips.

His lips were against mine and it was something I had never experienced before. Sensational. Every time I had kissed Brandon in the past I knew he was setting the bar high up for other lovers, what I didn't know was that he'd be the one breaking the record of breathtaking kisses.

The fluttering in my stomach matched with his tense muscles under the palms of my hand was overpowering. I could feel my form weakening and his other hand going around to support me from the back, an action that pulled me closer.

Every part where we touched was on fire, I brought my arms around his neck to bury them in his soft brown hair.

Brandon knew what he was doing that's for sure, he slipped his tongue into my mouth and suddenly nothing else mattered, no one in the world mattered.

"I-" He said against my lips drawing a moan from me, "should stop." He finished with a groan, untangling himself from me but he kept his hands of my waist and rested his forehead against mine. Ever the moral man.

A small smirk made it's way on my face, hell is reserved for me. I removed the laptop to the side, he watched my movements closely perhaps already predicting where I was going with this.

"Really?" I said, straddling him the smirk intensifying at his change in expression.

"Kiara, bad idea." His words came out in a strangled whisper but his hands still planted on my waist, begging me to not force him to lose control.

"Is it?" I brushed my lips against his, praying he wasn't listening to my heartbeat going off charts.

"Kiara." His husky voice now only held warning. The way my name rolled off his tongue did things to my stomach.

"Hmm?" I said absentmindedly, tracing the muscles on his torso. Outlining the tense skin over his clothes. With a low growl that sent shivers with my spine, Brandon tugged me closer.

My chest was against his as he devoured my mouth, his hands slipping under my shirt. His hands on my bare skin sent me on overdrive, my hands were tugging at his shirt on their own accord. I felt a surge of power coursing through me.

Soon enough I heard material ripping and an animalistic growl followed.
He moved to lay kisses over my neck, taking no time to find my sweet spot.
I moaned when he nipped at the skin and ran his tongue over it right after, that was going to bruise.

He continued lower and stopped when his lips met the junction between my neck and shoulder, where his mark should be.
He took my face in his hands and I looked into his dark blue eyes knowing my eyes mirrored the same expression.

He looked at me for permission which I granted without hesitation. We'll deal with reality tomorrow.

"Kiara, if I mark you. You are mine, like how I'll be yours. I'll be linked to you in everyway. I won't be able to live without you." He was fighting for control over his wolf and his own thoughts but I knew what I wanted. It was clear. And he didn't have to be told twice.

*****

Yeah, yeah, they do "it". *Excited giggles*

Now, before you point out how fast that was; they have known each other since kindergarten, seriously.

We'll actually reach the good parts in the next chapter! And no, no mating scene which you probably were aware of since you've read Beta Mate.
