The Galaxy Warp, who knew such a beautiful place could so dangerous? I certainly did, in fact I was often frighten that one of the Homeworld gems would see me, that I would be trapped again or even worse, shattered. I was afraid, but she wasn't, she would always go back, to Homeworld to recruit more gems in secret. I had tried to warn her that she could get caught. It was a wonder how she wasn't shattered yet. I admired her courage and strength, I always did, she was such a daring gem and a brilliant leader. Her name was Rose Quartz.

(Steven's POV)
"Uggg! I hate it when the gems are acting like this!" I explained in frustration. I laid my bicycle and helmet to the side and sat down on the grass.

My best friend, Connie Maheswaran, sat across from me and took another a bite out of her ham sandwich.

"Well I guess they're just trying to protect you. You know the whole getting kidnapped by the diamonds and you running off, disappearing to Korea with your dad thing... It really scared them." She explained slowly. "It scared me..." she added, blushing slightly.

"Well I guess."I nodded in an agreement, I too, felt my checks turn pink. "But it's been like weeks now! All I want is some basic answers on what's going on!"

A while back, I had discovered my mother's dark past on the shattering of Pink Diamond. It all seemed so unsettling. Something seemed off.

I had asked Pearl about it but she turned away and covered her mouth with her hands. She looked hurt and upset.

I didn't bother her about afterwards...

And then asked Amethyst, she didn't seem to really care at all! Something this important! And she just shrugged it off like it was nothing! I couldn't but all the blame on her though, she didn't seem to know what was exactly going on with the Diamonds, after all she was from Earth...

And Garnet, she wouldn't answer any of my questions. She kept avoiding them. Telling me that my mother did some horrible things but it was all for the greater good. What greater good?! I just couldn't understand why mom did it. Why would she leave everything behind and try to pretend it never happened?

I awkwardly shuffled around in my spot.

"Steven are you okay? You've been making that face for the past two minutes? Is something still bothering you?"

I looked up at Connie again.

"Sorry, it's just, there's some really serious stuff to think about, you know?" I muttered.

"Right....anyways it's getting dark...maybe we should head back? My parents don't like me staying out too late.." she explained.

"Can't you stay just a bit longer? Please?" I begged. It was nice spending time with her even if we didn't have anything to talk about.

"Sorry Steven...How about tomorrow?"

I nodded and stood up.

"Well.... I'm going to find Lion, now. I need to put my bicycle back into his mane." I said.

"Why do you need to put your bike into his mane? Can't you just leave it at your house?"
