I was waiting again. I always was. I told her to be careful this time, to not get caught. She had promised me that she would come back quickly. I have been coming back to the Galaxy Warp multiple times to check if she came back. She had been gone for about three earth-days. I was considering whether or not I should use the warp pad to find her, to bring her back, but I could never bring myself to do it. I was weak. I couldn't let the other gems see me. I was waiting now, alone, for her to return from Homeworld, there was no gems at the Galaxy Warp today, all of them were too busy helping Pink Diamond build her structures. Suddenly a flash off light shot up from the Main Warp Pad, the one that connected the earth colony to Homeworld. I snapped out of my train of thought and instantly looked up. She was back. She was wearing her typical Homeworld uniform that was given to all the quartz soldiers. I signed with relief slowly walked towards her to greet her and explain my concerns.
"Rose! You're finally back! What took you so long to return?" I asked her, my voice was quiet and anxious. My mind buzzed with a ton of questions. I looked up and frowned. She had her back facing me. Was she giggling? I wondered once more, perhaps she hadn't heard me? Was I too quiet? I tried again, this time raising my voice.
"Rose? What took you so long to return from Homeworld? Did you get in trouble?" I asked. She still didn't turn around. She seemed to be talking to someone, another gem. I was beginning to feel frustrated.
"Rose!" I shouted, my voice reaching to the point where I was almost yelling.
She turned around at last.
"Oh! Coral, you're here! I thought you were back at the base!" she said, her voice portrayed her slight surprise with seeing me here.
"You have been gone for three earth-days...." I reminded her, in case she had forgotten the amount of time that has passed. I was going to add on to my statement when my eyes started past her and spotted a ivory skinned gem. Her uniform was multicolored, with the colors of blue, yellow, pink and even white. A white pearl gem gleamed on her forehead. My eyes hardened and my skin turned cold. Instantly I pulled out my weapon from my own gem. A sythe, a weapon that I often refused to use during battle. A weapon for destroying the lives of gems. I pointed the blade at the pearl. I didn't even think twice about what I did. I pressed the blade closer to her throat. I had no mercy for this gem. I narrowed my eyes and clenched my teeth, my right hand gripping tightly to the handle. The pearl didn't need to be told twice on how to react. She slid under the blade and turned around to face my back. I felt the cold tip of a sword touch the back of my neck. I was overwhelmed with shock and confusion, how was a pearl capable of this? The confusion was pushed back and quickly replaced by my rage. I spun around to swing at my opponent, but my hand was caught in a tight grip. I turned to see who had stopped me from making my move. I glared at this person, how dare they try and stop me? I froze and dropped my weapon, my own eyes locked with the eyes of Rose Quartz. They were cold and stern, portraying anger and disappointment.
" That's enough Coral, I thought you knew better then to attack a new recruit. What has gotten into you?!" she demanded her voice thundered through my ears. She let go of my hand as my weapon flickered away. New recruit? I thought to myself, as I still attempted to recover from my shock. She headed over to the pearl.  "Are you alright? She asked sounding quite concerned.
" Oh yes, I'm fine." she replied, her hands quickly dusting off the dust on her dress. I managed look clearly at her for the first time. I noticed instantly that she had really pretty teal eyes. I felt my face turn red. Why was I thinking of her like this? She is an evil gem, she's a mindless shatterer! This statement made me extremely guilty. I knew I, myself was a hypocrite. The pearl's voice spoke again.
"Is she always like this?" Her voice sounded annoyed and disgusted. "No, she's usually not like this. I really don't know what's gotten into her! I'm so sorry." Rose sighed. I looked back at the two. My body was frozen to the ground, with my eyes wide and my hands shaking. I felt my insides crawling with pain and bitterness. I thought to myself. You don't understand..... Rose..... She's a Pearl.....
