(Steven's POV)
"Steven Careful!!!!!"Pearl screamed. I was too distracted by the corrupted gem to realize what Pearl meant. I was too close to the ledge. My foot began to slip.
"Ahhh!!!" I screamed my feet tumbled backwards, as I felt myself falling. I flailed my arms around in an attempt to put myself back in balance. Too late, my foot had slipped off the edge and I started to tumble down. "STEVEN!" I heard Pearl's horrified scream. I tried to focus on happy thoughts, to float, instead of falling, but my brain was too shaken to do so. Suddenly I felt something wrap around me as I was yanked up. I could see myself dangling in midair, my sandal almost slipping off my feet. I looked up to see Amethyst trying to pull me up. I sighed with relief, sweat sliding down my face.
"Thanks Amethyst" I said as I placed both feet firmly back on the cliff. "No Prob, Steven." She replied, helping to take remove the whip. I could see the corrupted gem again, it approach us, with great speed. I instantly formed a pink bubble to protect Amethyst as well as myself. Bang! The gem slammed it's massive pinchers at the bubble. "Nice Call." Amethyst muttered. I nodded. The corrupted gem, it was huge, about 8-9 feet tall and it was dark yellow, with a yellow gem on it's back leg. It look sort of like a insect, big and a lot of legs, it's large mouth snapping at us. I tried to force the bubble against it, but my arms soon grew tired and I stopped, letting it pound of the bubble. Garnet and Pearl quickly approached us. Pearl stabbed her spear into one of the gem's arms. It screeched in pain as it spun around to face its two new opponents. I popped the bubble and Amethyst summoned her whip once more, latching onto the gem. Garnet jumped onto the gem, slamming her gauntlets onto its back. I too, joined the fight, summoning my shield and throwing it at the gem. Suddenly without warning it jumped off the cliff, back-first with Garnet holding on. I was horrified. "Garnet!!!!" I screamed in vain, as I glanced over the ledge. Garnet and the corrupted gem was nowhere to be found.

(Sapphire's POV)
My head ached greatly. The visions still blurred my mind. Instant realization overwhelmed me. Garnet was not here. I sat up instantly and looked around.The corrupted gem was no where to be found. Ruby... Where was she? Panic surged my heart. I searched through the possibilities again. My eye flickered, as I blinked back to the present. I knew where she was. I rushed over without properly thinking of what to do afterwards. I saw her, but I was not greeted by her warm hug and kisses. I eye fell onto a red gem. I picked her up gently, only to find the cracks. It was damaged from the impact of the fall. I cursed at myself. I should have know! I should have foreseen this! Tears ran down my face. No, no, no, no... This couldn't have happened..... My beloved Ruby....
I sat there for a while, the ends of my dress, frozen with ice. I couldn't think. I couldn't see anything either, I didn't want to see anything, only Ruby, unharmed and undamaged. I longed for her to comfort me, to feel her hands around me. To feel her soft lips and hear her playful laugh.I pulled her gem closer to my chest. I pushed those thoughts aside. I couldn't be like this, Ruby needed help, and I needed to find Steven and the others.

(Coral's POV)
It's been about a week since I've been here, living with Steven and the Crystal Gems. And here I was, sitting in his room. Steven had asked me earlier if I wanted to accompany them on their latest mission. I had replied no, since these mission things were not what I usually did. I couldn't bear to fight other gems anymore. I brought back cold, and dark memories. I couldn't do it, I was still afraid? I wasn't sure. I sighed as I ploped down on the couch. I looked at the warp pad, it's been quite some time, since they have been gone. I wondered why they haven't returned yet...

(Steven's POV)
Pearl was freaking out. She was constantly screaming and yelling. Amethyst wasn't any better she, too was yelling and screaming. And I just sat there staring at what laid down the the bottom of the ledge. My eyes were still filled with tears. I didn't know how this had all occurred so quickly. The events were rapid blurs now, but it still really shocked me.
"HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!?"
"AMETHYST! THIS WAS YOUR FAULT YOU SHOULD HAVE HELD ONTO THE WHIP!"
"MY FAULT?!? YOU WERE JUST STANDING THERE NOT DOING ANYTHING!"
My head hurt from all their bickering. I wiped the tears in my eyes. I was angry now. Why are they always like this?!
"WILL YOU TWO STOP YELLING AT EACH OTHER?!? WE HAVE TO FIND A WAY TO GET DOWN THERE AND HELP GARNET!" I barked. They fell silent instantly. They eyed each other, guiltily, and quickly turned away, embarrassed by their actions.
"Steven is right, We have more important things to worry about..." Pearl muttered quietly. Amethyst nodded. I sighed and looked down at the the side of the cliff. The rocks formed a rough slope that lead downwards. I pointed over there and explained, "We can get down if we climbed, it would be too dangerous for us to jump."
"And I thought Pearl was the smart one..." Amethyst smirked. Pearl blushed, her face was hot with embarrassment. "I could have came up with a plan like that! I just... Given these circumstances.....couldn't..." She stuttered. Amethyst giggled, but didn't say anything. I too, became silent, my feet wondering down the slope. I didn't know what to think, but one things for sure, we needed to find Garnet.

Sorry, I guess felt like this would take too long and I need to post something in order to tell everyone that I'm alive....So I'm putting it off as a cliffhanger. I know people hate it but an author's got to do what an author is got to do....
