This seemed unreal. I couldn't understand what had happened. It all occurred so fast...it was more like a blur then a memory. I replayed the scene in my head, trying to fully process what had happened. The place where Garnet had been, was now replaced by two very angry gems. Ruby and Sapphire.
"HOW COULD YOU HAVE JUST LET THEM ESCAPE?!? THEY WERE HOMEWORLD SOLDIERS!!!! I COULD HAVE POOFED THEM EASILY!"
"You, mean Garnet could have poofed them easily."
"THAT'S NOT MY POINT!! AND WE WERE SPLIT UP!"
"It was not nesecary to poof them. More troops would have arrived to search for them. It will only increase the problem of the situation. Ruby, you need to calm down."
"HOW CAN I CALM DOWN?!? THESE GEMS ARE FROM HOMEWORLD! THEY SERVED THE DIAMONDS!!"
"Ruby, ple-"
"UGH YOUR SO FRUSTRATING! WHY WOULDN'T YOU LISTEN TO ME?!"
"Ruby I am listening, your the one who needs to be more rational."
"UUUUGGGHH"
Ruby had rushed off, She was completely enraged, flames were starting to sprout from the ground as she stormed off. Sapphire wasn't any better. Everything she was close to had become frozen. I was standing on a thick sheet of ice and I was constantly trying to regain my balance and stop myself from slipping.
"Ruby's up-"
"I know. She not being sensible. Her emotions over write reason. You can't change anything...she wouldn't listen." Sapphire interrupted, her voice was cold and almost emotionless. I shrugged. It couldn't hurt to try. "I'm going to check up on her...." Sapphire didn't say anything. She simply just stood in that one spot for a while. The edges of her dress was completely covered with frost and ice.
I started to run after the red gem. I may not be the best person to call to cheer someone up, but I had other methods.

It wasn't hard to find the red gem. There was a flame path that lead right into a small cave. Not to mention the footprints that were burned into the ground. I looked Inside the cave, which was all that big. There she was sitting alone. She was crying, but her tears were always evaporated due to the heat from her body turning into steam. "Ruby..?" I asked. "Go away.....there's nothing you can do to help." Ruby whimpered. I crawled in and sat down next to her, trying not to catch myself on fire in the process. "are you sure you want to talk about it...?" I offered. Ruby turned her head away, there was no answer. I tried again. "How did this all even happen...?" I inquired. "Stupid Homeworld gems...stupid homeworld gems...stupid..Stupid.. STUPID!" her voice was yelling again. She summoned her gauntlet and slammed it against the side wall. A huge dent was created. I started in disbelief. I don't think now would be a good time to ask her to "lend her memories..." I sighed and got up. I was walked out of the cave...Ruby had been difficult...but, there was another option... I decided to walk the path of thin ice.

"So...Ruby isn't going to calm down..."I started slowly. Sapphire didn't answer. I gulped. "So... I was wondering could you do me a favor?" I asked, trying to phrase my words in the correct way. I couldn't screw up this one chance to fix the situation. "Sure." she stated plainly. Again, Sapphire emotions were impossible to read. "Can you give me your hand?"I asked, awkwardly, this indeed, sounded like a weird request. I held out my own palm, for her to rest her hand on. She did this, without much hesitation. I instantly did my job quickly. Through physical contact with anyone, I could search through their past experiences and memories. It wasn't long before I found what I needed. I kept the memory in my own brain and instantly moved my hand away. Sapphires mind was not like her personality. It was messy, cold and dark, and I saw glimpses of things that were actually quite disturbing, her life on homeworld had not been a pretty one. I turned my back against her. Began to walk off, I focused my mind on that one stolen memory, to travel back. My body grew light and instantly with a flash, I was gone from the present. My body dropped to the floor with a thud. Why did it feel so heavy? I looked up... I traveled back, alright...but it seemed so tiring. This wasn't right... The memory was so recent, it shouldn't have taken up so much energy. Wait a minute....My back was freezing, why is that. I turned around and almost gave a small scream of shock. Standing right in front of me was Sapphire. "What exactly are you up to?...." she asks her voice was completely serious.

"I'm trying to help you fix the situation... " I explained desperately. I didn't have forever to fix a something like this. 10 minutes....that's all I had. "Whatever your doing.. You have to stop." Sapphire's voice grew more firm. I ignored her. 9 minutes 32 seconds. Time came naturally to me. It always did. I felt my feet become encased with ice. This was making my job very difficult. "Ugg.. What are you doing?! I don't have forever to fix this problem.!" I growled. I summoned my weapon from the back of my head. I sliced my legs free. 8 minutes and 2 seconds left. "Coral listen to me! You can't do anything in this situation! You'll make things worse!" Sapphire cried desperately. I was angry now. I fired back at her. "Your future vision doesn't really see into the future... You know that right? It's only possibilities that you see. Even you don't know what's going to happen exactly." I retorted coldly. Sapphire was silent. I had no time to pity over her right now, I was trying to help her but she keeps dragging down the situation. I looked around my surroundings. A canyon...so this is where it took place... I looked around to try to find the red gem. Where was Ruby? 7 minutes.
"SAPPHIRE!!" a voice called out. I knew this voice instantly. Ruby. I turned my head to see the nervous red gem, searching around for her lover. 6 minutes and 33 seconds. Two more figures seemed to approach Ruby. The two Homeworld soldiers...an Amethyst and a Rutile. I felt my legs turn to jello. Homeworld soldiers, they made me nervous. I shock my head, I don't need to go back to memory Lane, I need to focus! I gripped onto my weapon tightly. I only needed to poof one of them. I was terrified. I was going back to my shattering roots. 5 minutes left. I began to creep closer to the two homeworld soldiers. A sharp pain bolted through my left leg. I whinced and turned around. To my shock I saw Sapphire, she had stabbed my leg with an icicle. I could see that she had reviewed her one blue eye. It was incredibly disteessed and angered. Now was not a good time.... If she wasn't going to help then she was better of not here. Suddenly, I turned around to swing at her. The blade sliced onto her physical form. The look of horror on her face could have scarred me for life. It was pure hatred. Her gem dropped to the floor. I then turned to my next challenge. With only three minutes left I needed to act fast. There was no more time to plan. I narrowed my eyes and swang my weapon, blindly. POOF, POOF, CRACK. I was confused. I poofed both of the homeworld soldier? I looked up. There was a confused Rutile looked at me, but the other one was gone. Wait...if this one was here, then who was the other gen I shatt- Oh no....no, no, no, no. My eyes dropped down to the red shards on the rock floor. Ruby.... WHAT HAVE I DONE?!? I bursted into tears the Rutile took this opportunity to run off with the Amethyst gem in it hand. I swang at the Rutile, I was going to go insane. My weapon disappeared. I looked at my hands, they turned into pure light. 10 minutes was up....
