The gem backed up against the wall. She knew she was cornered. Her eyes were wide with fear. I crept closer I pulled out my weapon out of my gem, on the back of my head, and held it with one hand. She was shaking all over. She screamed in panic, "NO WAIT! I PROMISE! I'LL DO BETTER! I SWEAR! PLEASE N-"Poof! Crack! The blade swung down quickly, over her neck, shattering the gem in the process. The sounds of shards hitting the floor echoed through my ears. I gave a sign of relief, I didn't have to hear the thing constantly screaming. Satisfied I lifted my weapon with both hands, a beautiful dark red sythe. I ran my finger down the edge of its massive blade. I glanced at the floor and picked up the gem shards, dropping them into the disposal bin. I kept one shade in my hand as proof to my diamond that I had completed my task. I shook my head in disgust as I stared down at the gem shard in my hand.
"Hmm.. Noisy..." I remarked to myself, clutching the shard tightly. I let the weapon flicker away as I stepped out of the execution room. My head had ached from the echoing of the gems that were brought into the room. Constantly, they would have screamed struggled and shouted at me to have mercy. I had to admit, it was funny to watch them beg, even though they knew, I, as a Coral gem, would have no mercy for anyone.
My place in homeworld was dangerous. I was an executor, but everyone would have called me the "shatterer." My job was to be quick and simple, serve the Diamonds well, and do as I was told, or else I would end up like the other gems, in the disposal bin, nothing but shards.

Clank! My sythe hit the wall again missing the gem completely. Ugh! So annoying! Why did it have to be a Jasper? Couldn't the diamonds just have shattered her at the trial? No, shattering was a dirty job and I was assigned to this, I couldn't go back to the diamonds without proof that I'd done my job. The jasper had been defective, having the ability to levitate, which was an ability that she shouldn't be capable of. I looked up. She was about a feet above me. I could see her orange gem glittering on her knee. I gritted my teeth. I was sick of this game of "chase."
"Wow, you can't even do your job properly." The jasper retorted, chuckling as she floated higher. I ignored her comment and swung at her gem again. She dodged it with ease.
"Stop running away!" I panted, I tried to catch my breath. How dare a defective such as her humiliate me like this?! She chuckled at my statement. I was enraged. I jumped against the wall and leaped off it swinging at her again. The Jasper moved to the left and took her own weapon out of her gem, a flail. She swung it at me just as I jumped at her. I was too angry to think straight. My head banged right against her flail. A strong bolt of pain shot though me, as I was sent falling down to the floor of the execution room, head first. My world spun around me and my eyes were wide and open. I could think clearly, the pain and the shock, mixed with confusion made everything worse. My vision blurred and the last thing I saw was a dark figure slamming down at me. I couldn't understand what had happened at first. I had felt lighter? Less pain? Then it struck me, my physical form had vanished and retreated, I had been poofed.
