(Coral's POV)
I was back. After so many years, here I was, in the strange new pl-, wait a minute, this place seemed awfully familiar.... The water and the fountains, where have I seen then before? I heard footsteps approaching. My instincts took control and I spun around quickly using my arm to slap away the danger. I eyed the being that had approached me.
"Owww...." a small human boy stood there rubbing his sore arm that I had stuck. "Agg! I'm so sorry! I thought you were trying to hurt me! Sorry, it's just a a reflex..." I explained nervously, I didn't want him to see me as some sort of threat. He relaxed and I began again "Oh! Your a human! How did you get in a place like this?" this place wasn't safe for humans to be in. The boy, he looked quite curious, he reminded me of someone, but whom? The boy turned away from me. Someone else was approaching. The child started to speak again. "Pearl, are you okay?" he asked the person that was coming closer. He sounded so so concerned about his friend. How sweet, this boy really was a charmer. I smiled to myself, and looked at him. My heart skipped a beat. I remembered now, the memories came flooding back. the water, the fountains. Now I knew why this place was so familiar, I was in her room. My eyes couldn't look away from her. She looked beautiful. My face turned a dark shade of red. Her hands covered her mouth, as tears steamed down the side of her cheeks. I too, felt like I was going to cry. She looked...stunning, breathtaking, really. I ran over to embrace her. "Pearl!!!" I called, my heart swelling with happiness and joy.

She seemed surprised to see me, and I didn't blame her, it was quite a shook to see her, after so many years. I had ran over trying to give her a hug but, Pearl backed away, her eyes were hesitant. I could clearly see her discomfort, so I didn't force it, I stood there awkwardly. Her eyes wouldn't meet me. I drew my eyes away from her and looked down at the boy. His face portrayed happiness as well as slight confusion. I looked back at Pearl again and then back at the boy.
"Who's this?" I asked, poking gently at his hair.He laughed a little.
"I'm Steven!" He replied. The name sounded so familiar, everything about this boy, seemed so, recognizable. I looked back at Pearl again. "He's human...how did he get in here?" I frowned. Pearl's expression changed dramatically, her voice was hesitant, "Steven is unique, he's not a human he's...." Her sentence couldn't go on, but the boy, Steven, finished it for her. "I'm half- gem." he explained, lifting his shirt to review a pink gem on his belly-button. I recognized the gem instantly. Rose Quartz. I said it without thinking.
"You're, Steven, Steven Universe, the son of Rose Quartz..." I muttered this, mostly to myself. Of course, Steven heard this and he seemed pretty surprised to see that I already knew who he was. He didn't know about me... I didn't think of this too much and I looked at Pearl. "Rose isn't here anymore..." I said, not really saying it as a question but rather just a statement. She seemed a little pained by what I had said, but she nodded her head. I walked over to the edge of the fountain we were standing on and I leaped down quickly to the doorway.
"Wait for us!" Steven shouted dragging the still stunned Pearl along. I waited for them to catch up and I opened the door. To my shock the found the temple had become a human house, made entirely of wood. This was new....
"CORAL?!?!" a loud and excited voice bursted through my train of thought. I blinked a couple of times, a purple gem rammed right into me, preparing to giving me a monster bear-hug. But like Pearl, she too was hesitant, stoping at the last minute only to give an awkward wave. I was overcome with confusion once more, but I shrugged it off, it was awkward either way...me showing up was already quite the surprise.
"Hey Amethyst, well you haven't changed much..." I remarked, as Steven ran past me.
"Garnet!" he giggled happily. I looked up. Garnet didn't change much either.
"Hello Steven." she said, patting the boy on the head. She looked up at Pearl and nodded as a form of saying hello, but when she looked down at Me.....she gritted her teeth and turned away from me. She pulled Steven closer, in a sort of protective way. I stared in utter confusion. Although her visors covered her eyes, I could clearly tell, Garnet was upset, angry even. What had I done to upset her, the fact that I couldn't remember why, it frightened me, because my memory was supposed to be perfect....
