"Adrianna Vicari." Adrianna stated her name to the student office assistant at the desk. The bored looking girl typed in her name and printed out her schedule.

" Here," the girl practically threw the piece of paper in Adrianna's face. She missed the catch, and  it fluttered ever so slowly to the ground.

"Thanks...?" Adrianna meant to say it with sarcasm and attitude, but it came out as an awkward question thing. She cursed herself for being bad at comebacks.

Adrianna bent over to retrieve the schedule, but a set of hands grabbed it before she could reach. She looked up.

Standing in front of her was a boy who looked a little older than her. He wore a flannel button down with khaki pants and Sperry's. He looked very handsome in a business type way, and had a grin on his face.

"You must be one of the new kids; uh-- the Vicani's?

"Vicari," Adrianna laughed.

He laughed to, and handed Adrianna her schedule, then held out his hand. "Christopher Morehton, North Shore's School president. Welcome."

He smiled revelling a perfect set of teeth. Adrianna smiled back.

" Adrianna Vicari," she replied, shaking his hand. It was warm and firm. She shivered involuntarily.

" So, I saw your schedule. You're a sophomore right?"

Adrianna nodded. She had no idea why, but she liked being around Christopher already. He smelled nice, and she felt so classy and pretty when he looked at her. He was like, a really gorgeous doctor or something.

" Here, I'll show you to your first class. Mr. Tate, English comp."

He put his hand on her shoulder and guided her out of the office and into the almost empty hallway.

"Mmm okay," was all Adrianna could sputter as she realized such a beautiful human being was so close to her.

On the way to the class, Christopher showed her some of the sights around the school. Adrianna didn't really listen, mostly just stared at his face.

"Alright, here we are. Have a great first period!" He then gave Adrianna a quick peck on the cheek and left. As soon as he was around the corner, she almost collapsed as she touched the cheek he kissed her on.

Then she kissed her hand and touched the spot he kissed, laughed at herself for being so dumb, and entered the classroom.
