3 Romeos and a Juliet

Aj and Adrianna quickly but quietly jumped up and AJ ran for the window. "No! It makes to much noise," she whispered.

"Adrianna?" Her dad called. He tried the doorknob but it was locked. Thank goodness.

"Just a sec Dad, I um, just got outta the shower!"

She frantically pushed AJ into the closet and slammed the door. Then she quickly ran to the bathroom and threw on her robe, then put her hair in a bun. She also snatched a make up removing wipe and rubbed the eyeliner off of her face. Then she ran to the door and opened it.

She faked a yawn. "Oh hi Daddy."

"Hey Sweetie, I saw your light on so I knew you must be up," He said. Adrianna's father was very handsome, and he looked young for his age, with not a streak of grey in his hair and a tall figure.

"Can I come in?"  He questioned lifting an eyebrow. Adrianna hesitated. "Sure," she said moving aside to let him in. It was then that she noticed she still had on her converse. She silently cursed herself.

Her father sat down on her bed and she did the same. "So," he said. "I know this grounded thing probably is bugging you, because you've never been grounded by me before," he started. She nodded her head.

"I just wanted to tell you that I only do this because I love you, and I don't want you to grow up too fast," he said.

"I understand Daddy," she said with a weak smile. "I knew you would," he smiled at her and they met for a hug.

"And from now on, if you wanna go to a party, you tell me. And your curfew is 11," he said standing up.

"Yes Daddy," she chimed smiling like a little angel.

He smiled back until his eyes landed on Adrianna's converse. She cringed, and his eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Why do you have on shoes if you just got out of the shower?" He interrogated.

"I--uh... They're really comfy, they just feel like slippers ya know?" She gave a cheesy smile, hoping desperately that he would buy the lame excuse.

Finally, he sighed. "Whatever Adri. Just try and get some sleep." And with that , he walked out and shut the door. Adrianna made sure to lock it as Aj  slipped out of her closet and she slipped off the robe.

"That was close," Aj said, grabbing her waist. He pulled her in for another long kiss, and Adrianna could've sworn her insides were melting.

Finally she broke away . "I could really get used to this you know," Aj laughed. Adrianna playfully punched him on the arm. Then she got a glance at her alarm clock on the bed beside her. It was 1 A.M., and her father was right, she did need to get some shut eye. She wasn't exactly the most pleasant person when she was sleep deprived.

Adrianna found herself looking up into Aj's thoughtful eyes, and at all the features on his face. She noticed for the first time that he had kind of a baby face, which was adorable. She giggled.

"Did I miss something?" He said, narrowing his eyes at her. "No, no. But I'm missing my beauty sleep, so I think it's time for you to go."

She hated saying the words, if she could, she would keep him in her room and cuddle and talk and.....

"Lights off Adrianna!" It was her father calling from downstairs. Her and AJ then quietly hurried toward the window and tried to pull it up as quietly as possible.

"Well. I'll see you on Monday Adri," said AJ, using her family's nickname. She smiled. "Yeah."

He gave her one more peck on the forehead before hopping out if the window and bolting across the lawn like a madman. Adrianna just laughed.

After she had turn out her lights and was in pajamas, tucked in her bed, she couldn't fall asleep. Literally, people were texting her nonstop, saying they saw her at the concert, telling her how cute her and AJ were as a couple.

But There were three particularly  interesting texts. One read:

YOU LOOKED SO BEAUTIFUL TONIGHT... JUST LET ME EXPLAIN EVERYTHING...

It was from Leo. This prick had the nerve to ask for a third chance?  Adrianna honestly didn't see what there was to explain. But, she did want to see what made him turn on her like he did. There was no way she was gonna try and be friends with him though.

She responded to Leo, then went on to the next text.

HI GORGEOUS. THE NEW HORROR MOVIE "SPIKES" JUST CAME OUT AND YOU HAVE TO SEE IT WITH ME! IS IT A DATE??

That one was Christopher. Should she agree to go with him when Aj's taste still lingered on her lips? Maybe it can just be friendly, Adrianna thought. Maybe I could even invite a couple of my friends to come along.

Last but not least:

GOODNIGHT BEAUTIFUL HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME...

AJ. Adrianna found herself grinning extremely hard as she read this. She replied back and slid her phone under her pillow, then sighed.

That night she dreamed of boys and bands, and texts and taking off her converse.
