Adrianna made sure to flash the puppy dog eyes as she sat in front of her father. He took a bite out of his toast and stared at her blankly.

"Daddy please! I'm making new friends but this punishment is getting in the way! I promise I'll be extra good, and I already have all A's in all my subjects--"

Her father cut her off with his wave of his hand. "You think you can just get away with anything?" His asked Adrianna accusingly. She just stood there, speechless. She had nothing to say, so she shrugged.

"Well you can't alright? Just remember that. But, you have never gotten in trouble before so--"

"OH MY GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH !" Adrianna jumped up and started attacking her father with hugs and kisses. He just laughed. "Okay, okay. But the very next slip up, and I promise you won't come outta that room until college," he warned grabbing his briefcase.

Adrianna just smiled as Arturo came down the stairs, followed by Rosa who was yanking his hair.

"Take it back you fuckin--", she started.

"Rosalina Vicari! You'll watch your mouth in my house! And let go of your brother! I swear you and your mother are exactly alike," Mr. Vicari scolded, mumbling that last part.

Rosa let go of his hair and threw Arturo a glance, and Arturo rubbed his scalp.

"She's always harrasing me!"

He poutted.

"You're the one who called me a stupid cun--"

"Rosa!" Their father scolded again, silencing her. Adrianna giggled. "Now all of you, get in the car, I'm gonna be late for work."

----~~~~~~~~~~~~~~----

"What do you mean go to the movies with Christopher?" By the way AJ asked the question, she knew she had made a mistake suggesting the idea.

"I think it'll be fun don't you? It's the new scary movie you've been talking about for weeks," Adrianna offered weakly.

AJ looked offended, and he stopped in front of her, in the middle of the semi crowded hallway while they were on their way to lunch.

"Adrianna... I thought... I thought we were more than just friends now. Don't you remember the kiss?"

Adrianna sighed and looked in the same blue eyes she had stared into while their lips touched. Of course she remembered the kiss! It was like the fourth of July, Christmas morning, and her birthday all rolled into one.

"Yeah Aj, and it was great. But I really think we should take it kinda slow right now," she mumbled. The words must've hit AJ like a truck, because he just shook his head and started to walk away.

Adrianna reached out and grabbed his arm. "Aj stop--" she started, but was abruptly cut off. "No Adrianna! I have no idea if you like me or not, because you're sending me so many mixed signals, and its driving crazy okay? Just leave me alone." Adrianna stood shocked at his words and drew her hand back.

"Look AJ i'm sorry, I just don't think I'm ready for a relationship right now. With anybody," she sighed. "It's okay. I just don't think we can be friends anymore," Aj shrugged, trying to pretend he wasn't hurt. Adrianna felt like such a horrible person, breaking one if the nicest boy's she'd ever met heart. She especially liked Aj because she knew, even if Rosa hadn't given her that makeover, Aj wouldn't care. He'd still like her.

"No Aj! We can just take some time to figure 'us' out. Isn't that how most relationships work?" She was asking because she honestly didn't have a clue. It's not like she'd ever been in a relationship before.

"I just don't think so," Aj replied walking away, leaving Adrianna standing in the middle of the hallway.

Just when she thought things couldn't possibly get any worse, a pair of hands grabbed her from behind. She couldn't even see who the person was, and they had their large hand clamped over her mouth.

Whoever it was they were strong, and there was no way she could possibly break free. Plus, to her luck, the hallway was now deserted due to the bell ringing just a minute ago, and there was no one to witness the kidnapping. Great.

Adrianna  realized she was being dragged toward the janitor's closet, and all she could think was, Oh awesome, now I'm gonna get molested in a janitor's closet.

But when she was pulled inside, she was forced to face the culprit in the tiny space. Leo. "What the hell are you doing you psycho?! I swear to god if you don't let me out of here right now.."

Leo was standing in front of the door, blocking Adrianna's only exit.

"I knew you'd probably never stay and listen to me if we met in a public place where you could easily escape," he sighed. He looked gorgeous as usual, with his green eyes now dark and mysterious.

"You know how crazy you sound right?" Adrianna asked. Leo kind of chuckled, then got serious again. "I am crazy, crazy about you. And I've never been like that about a girl before. Ever. And it worries me."

Adrianna rolled her eyes. "Then why would you betray me like that? It doesn't make sense."

"I have to. My parents are in this business deal with Delilah's parents, and if I upset her in any way, she'll tell them. Then my dad will lose his business, and it'll be all my fault." He stuck his hands in his pockets.

"Why didn't you just tell me in the first place?" Adrianna demanded, suddenly feeling kind of sorry for him. "Delilah said not to make contact with you in public," Leo replied, shrugging. "So now you see the predicament we're in."

Adrianna shrugged back and just sighed. Aj drama now this? This was hard work.

"Well I'm sorry Leo, but unless you can break up with Satan, I don't think I even wanna talk--"

Suddenly Adrianna was silenced by Leo's lips colliding with hers. They were soft and warm, kinda like Aj's, and she got the same.exact.feeling. Sigh.

She quickly made herself push Leo away, and bolted out of the janitor's closet as if her head was on fire. And wouldn't ya know it, Christopher stood there in the hallway , eyeing her like the maniac she was.

"Adrianna," he smiled. "Where's the fire?" She slowed down for a moment. She was just about to speak when two familiar voices came loudly down either side the hallway. "Adrianna! I'm sorry I did that!" Leo.   And another: "Adrianna why didn't you come to lunch? I know I was kinda harsh but cut me some slack!" A.j. The three  would soon meet at this point at the hallway where her and Christopher stood. Mother of all things horrible.
