Not giving up

Adrianna must've fallen asleep in the back of Arturo's car, because she woke up on the couch at 2:43, when she was supposed to be in school. She sat up, feeling groggy and numb, and she knew her eyes were probably red and swollen from crying.

"Sup sleepy head," Arturo said, sitting in the couch next to her. He had a mouthful of ham sandwich, and his eyes were glued on the tv, which showed an episode of Tosh.0.

"Why am I here?" Adrianna yawned, sitting up. She was still in her dress and vans, and she felt her hair. It was barely in a ponytail anymore, more like a bird's nest with a hair holder tangled up in it.

"Well every person is on earth for a reason," Arturo stated, licking mustard off his fingers. "You know what I mean," Adrianna sighed.

"You were having some kind of breakdown in school alright? I just brought you home."

Adrianna sighed. "I'm getting expelled Arturo," she said, almost bursting into tears again.

"You what?" Arturo almost spit out half of his sandwich.

"It's t-true! Either that or I go to jail!" Adrianna cried, flopping back on the couch.

"This is really bad Adri. Dad's gonna kill his perfect little princess," Arturo laughed, then got serious again. "But seriously, kiss your life good bye."

"What if dad sends me back to live with mom Arturo? Gahhh!"

Adrianna buried her head in the cushions of the couch.
"Oh, not only is he gonna send you back to live with Mom, he's probably gonna send you to military school," Arturo stated, then he held out his half eaten sandwich. "Wanna bite?"

Adrianna stood up, then smacked the sandwich to the ground. "You are no help you... Butt munch!"

"You could've just said no," he replied. Adrianna then ran off to her room, wailing gibberish, then throwing herself on the bed.

Then she had a thought: What if... What if she went to court with Delilah and pled her innocence?

She knew she'd probably lose... But it was a much better option than just giving up. Her dad could get her a lawyer and....

"ADRIANNA!!"

Speaking of Dads.....

Okay, I know what a lame chapter and for all that waiting! But this was just to help me get into all the good stuff...
