You shivered as the wind blew through your dark hair and on your brown skin. The breeze picked up, causing you to cover yourself with your small arms. You heard a motor behind you, but you just thought it was Buck or a random greaser trying to pick you up.

You were about to turn around until you felt a hard kick on the back of your leg.

You whimpered as you fell to the ground. You flipped yourself over, only to be surprised to be close to a drunk soc. You crawled backwards, but soon stopped when you were grabbed from behind. You let out a final yelp, before the two socs began beating you with a small pipe and their fists.

"Where is she?" Dal's loud voice goes through the Curtis house, obvious that he was mad and worried that he couldn't find his little sister. He hasn't heard about, nor seen you, in two or three hours. Neither has Sodapop.

Sodapop was your bestfriend and longtime crush. Since the two of you were so close, he was constantly protective over you. Now that you weren't home in time, he was worried as Dallas was. It bothered him to the point that he went out searching for you.

He ran down the streets, calling out your name. He stopped when he heard a familiar whimper and groan. He looked ahead of him and there he saw you, your body on the ground with blood all over you.

You tried crawling to him, but all you could do was let out small noises of pain.

He scooped you up and quickly ran back to the house. "Hang on there, Riya, we're almost home."

"Feeling any better?" Sodapop asks you as he cleans the forgotten blood.

You nod, opening your arms to him. Although you couldn't speak, you wanted to show him thanks for saving you in time. He hugged you real light and gentle, before he pulled away. "Get some rest, sweetheart, you had a long day." He kisses the top of your head.
