"I just think it's too much, you know?" Darry huffs into the phone, a small frown on his face. "I'mscared about this whole 'growing up' thing. Sodapoptold me that part of growing up is to lose things that you don't want to lose."
"Darry, what-" You play with the phone cord, your voice shakyand full of worry.
"Y/N, baby, hear me out. It didn't make any sense to me either, but I realized what it meant last night." Darry cuts you off. He knew that you would freak out or not let him finish, but hejust wanted to get it off his chest. "I know I'm going to regret this, but I gotta letyou know that I have to let you go."
You grip onto the phone tightly. Your tears were threatening to fall out, but you knew this was best for you and Darry.
"Dar, are you sure? I'm only okay with it if you really are sure you want to do this."
