Kyrie had gone all out for the blessing ceremony; she ordered several variations of flowers from Shokin Fountain, having Kage look through them for his favorite, she also bombarded both Kage and Alexander with questions about their favorite things, least favorite things, weird habits, and anything else they were willing to share. She was beyond excited to perform and develop her ceremony for the first time, everything needed to be just as perfect as the weather.
"Okay Kage, have you decided on a flower yet?" Kyrie hovered close as he examined two flowers: the Snapdragons and Mist Lilies. "It's uber important that we have your favorite specifically."
Kage stared heavily at the two flowers. "I don't know, I like both of them. The Mist Lilies are super neat, I like the transparent blue color...ugh, but the Snapdragons are so cool." He put his finger just slightly out of the flowers reach, it tried to snap down on his finger. "I'm torn between the two."
Kyrie stared blankly. "Kage, please man, I need you to pick one flower. We need to have this decided before 3:00, otherwise the prime position of the Sun will be out of reach for today."
Alexander stood over Kage, looking down at the two flowers. He grabbed a single Mist Lily out of the basket and held it up so the sun hit its translucent petals. The light made a beautiful rainbow twinkle on the permanent dew the flower created. "Why not this one?"
Kage looked up to the flower, taking in the beauty he couldn't see before. "Oh wow."
Alexander laughed at Kage's amazement. "Sometimes you have to change the scenery to bring out true beauty." He handed the flower to Kage. "But this flower doesn't need a change of scenery." He winked at Kage, then made his way over to Anthony.
Kage's face grew red and he put the flower back in its basket. "This one." He mumbled.
Kyrie tilted her head. "What did you say?"
He looked to Kyrie. "The Mist Lilies, that's my pick."
She smiled, grabbing the basket of Mist Lilies and heading over to the small altar Anthony was putting together. The Mist Lily is a superb choice of flower for a blessing ceremony; it's a simple flower all in all, they resemble the typical lily that's common through most clans, the thing that sets it apart from them, though, is that their petals are a glass-like, translucent baby blue, each petal always wet with a soft dew. This is a flower of tranquility, typically used when in a time of great stress as they bring forth a lovely calm.
Kyrie held the basket against her side, gently placing the Mist Lilies, one by one, on the centerpiece of the altar. Kyrie loved her connections as it gave her access to a plethora of lovely ceremonial pieces, especially the ghost marble altars, you can't get an altar better then the ghost marble.

Kyrie did her best to brief Kage on how the ceremony would work, explaining that he didn't actually have to do anything other then verbally approve of the blessing.
"All you'll have to do is sit on the altar while I perform the blessing. Despite how much time went into setting this up, the blessing literally takes around 5 minutes to complete." She smiled. "I'll run through a few things that ensure the orb follows traits of just you and Alex. A common thing that has happened in the past when a blessing isn't performed properly is that the child ends up with traits similar to the one who blessed the orb." Kyrie pulled a few things out of her personal bag: some scissors, a round, clear gemstone, and a super thin piece of paper. "Basically, since Kage is the only one who will be on the altar, it only picks him up as a parent, and the orb will try to find a second to fill the parental gap, which is usually the one performing the ceremony. So, to avoid it looking for me, I can use this little guy." She held the gemstone up, letting the light catch it, revealing that it had no form of reflection. "This stone is similar to the idea of solid air, nothing reflects off of it, everything just phases through it." She set it in the center of the paper, grabbing the scissors. "Alex, come here." She waved him over.
