Kyrie sat down next to Anthony at their normal meeting spot for lunch. Today she had a simple meal planned for the two of them: fruit salad, roast chicken, some berries and cream for dessert, and cold water. She got into the habit of making enough food for the both of them because he was awful at balancing his meals.

She portioned everything up between them then let out a huge sigh. It had already been a long day and she wasn't feeling the best, which was odd since she never got sick in her life.

Anthony leaned down and kissed the top of her head. "Thank you for lunch."

She looked up at him and smiled, bags visible under her eyes. "You're welcome."

He picked up a piece of the chicken and took a bite. "Are you feeling okay?"

She was slow with responding. "Uh, yeah, I think so." She took a bite of her fruit.

Kage reached across the table as much as he could before his stomach got in the way. He pressed his hand to her forehead. "Are you sure? You feel a bit warm."

Kyrie finished chewing and sighed. "I feel okay, just a bit tired is all. Things have been hectic this week."

Alexander set his drink down. "She's had to fill in for a few kids in our class this week, the few healers we had for the beginners have been out all week so far."

She waved his statement off. "Regardless, healing them is childsplay, they don't drain me nearly enough for this level of fatigue."

"Even 3 days worth of it?" He took another sip of his drink.

"I'm ranked highest in the clan as far as healers go, I can handle half the school with moderate injury before I feel slightly drained. I didn't get this standing for nothing." She looked over her shoulder and surveyed the area around them. It felt like someone was watching, but no one seemed to be looking their way.

Anthony glanced back as well, trying to see what she was looking at. "Are you trying to find someone?"

She didn't say anything and went back to eating.

He exchanged worried glanced with Alexander before they went back to eating.

Kyrie sat in the hallway on a bench and leaned against the wall. She was at her limit for the day and just needed to rest. As the day went on her energy levels just plummeted for an unknown reason.

She closed her eyes while she waited for Anthony and Alexander to finish up in the locker room.

[Kyrie.] The voice was quiet and seemed like a whisper.

She opened her eyes and turned to Kage. "Yes?"

Kage looked genuinely confused. "What?"

"Didn't you just say my name?" She rubbed her eyes and yawned.

"No, I've been on my phone." He held up his cell phone so she could see it.

"Who said my name?" She looked around.

"Maybe you dreamed it." He returned to his phone. "Could be the fatigue."

"No, I'm certain I didn't dream it." She stretched and continued to look up and down the hall.

Kage glanced both ways as well, then turned to his bag to look for something. He pulled out a pill bottle and read it, then returned it to its place.

"What was that for?" She looked to his bag.

"My pills?"

She nodded.

"I have a heart problem, it's for that." He zipped his bag then returned it to his side.

She was surprised to just now be hearing about this. They had been friends for well over a year now, so it's a bit odd to just now be getting this information. "Is it recent?"

"I was born with it."

"Oh." She looked towards the locker room. "Does Alex know about it?"

"Yeah, I had to disclose that stuff to both of them when I moved in." He put his phone into the side pocket of his bag. "It's for severe Arrhythmia."

Her attention shot back to him. "What?"

"Arrhythmia, I have a severe form of it, that's what I'm medicated for."

She stared at him for about 30 seconds before she responded. "Wow."

"Kyrie, are you sure you're okay? Your response time is awful." He paused just long enough to see Anthony and Alexander heading their way. "I think you should go home and lay down early."

She took another minute to process everything he just said, then noticed Anthony studying her face. "W-what?"

Anthony offered his hand and helped her to her feet. "Do us all a favor and go to bed early tonight."

She sighed. "Okay."

~==~ 8:00pm ~==~

Per Anthony and Kage's request, Kyrie headed to bed as early as she was willing. Luckily her workload was small that night, so calling it early was doable for once. KR and Rose understood that she needed to sleep, so they left her to it.

Kyrie laid down in bed and settled in quick, drifting off shortly after her head hit the pillow. She drifted into a deep sleep, but it was quickly interrupted by that voice again. This was the real reason she didn't have the energy recently, sleeping gave it the freedom to invade most.

[Kyrie.]

Her eyes shot open and she searched her dark room. Everything was normal except for the feeling of being watched again. She couldn't place the voice she was hearing, which made it hard to believe that it was even there. It never really spoke, it just called her name every so often.

[Kyrie.]

She just laid in bed, her eyes struggling to stay open, and waited to drift off again. This night just kept repeating itself and she didn't want to accept that she may be losing her mind.

Kyrie struggled through the night to get some sleep. Every hour, for about 10 minutes on and off, the voice would repeat her name. It was the same tone and level each time, but it still drove her crazy that she didn't know why it was happening.

She was losing it.
