Sven was frantic. "You said he's human, right? I can't do that, not after last time."
Kyrie thought for a moment. "No, this is doable."
"No, you don't understand at all, this is NOT doable at all." He was freaking out beyond belief. "This isn't some bullshit mating thing if he's human, I can't be near him."
Kyrie let out a frustrated sigh. "I'm not the highest rank healer for nothing, I know my shit. If I say this is doable, it is most certainly doable."
"Your rank is a joke then, anyone with common sense would know I can't be with a human."
Kyrie looked at Pierce. "You know what you are, right?"
Pierce nodded. "I do."
"Then you also know that being with another demon, no matter what they are, is also doable."
He nodded again. "But that doesn't mean it's safe."
"With him, yeah, it's more then safe. This would probably be your safest option if you're ever looking to be with someone romantically." She paused. "What's the species of the kid you follow around in the morning?"
"Data, I think."
"So that's an unsafe option, yet you cling to his side like it's the end of the world. That would be a harmful relationship."
"How?"
"He might as well be human, a genuine human. The only thing stopping that from being the case is the blood he caries. Now we both know that you can't be with a human under normal circumstances. Plus, I've seen how he ignores you, he doesn't think anything of you Pierce. You're just a nuisance in his eyes."
"That's not true." Pierce fought back the tears trying to push their way out.
"Pierce, I'm not saying this to hurt you. What you're trying to do is unhealthy, you'll never live a normalized life if you keep following him around. You said that you felt it too, the urge to be with this idiot, right?" She pointed at Sven, who was still on his back.
Pierce looked to the floor. "I told you that it isn't safe. Not while I'm still like this."
She sighed, becoming more frustrated. "Pierce, you won't change until you follow suit with how you feel. The guy you follow around won't trigger the change you want, but this moron might...no, not might, he will trigger that change."
Sven threw his arms up in frustration. "What the hell are you even talking about anymore?"
"You can shut up sir, you don't want to listen so you don't get to speak."
"The fuck? You really think you get to make that choice for me? You're already holding me in this room against my will, I want to leave and go to class." He went to sit up again, but Kyrie pressed his shoulder into the bed.
"No, we aren't leaving this room until you two come to a mutual understanding about something." She snapped, dragging Pierce's attention back up. "I said it once already, I speak from experience. That idiot you see me with, the one in the blue hoodie, he already threw the two of us through something similar because we ignored an urge to pursue one another. I've now sealed a contract with him and plan to stick with it, it's been about 3 months since then, I barely spoke to him prior to the weekend we sealed the unofficial contract." She thought for a moment. "I can't force you two to try this, but if you want to live normally at all, you need to stop being ignorant to your natures. You'll quicker cause long term damage before you recover."
