~==~ Maddox House ~==~
Kage scrolled through the feed on his phone. He was looking all morning for some sort of unisex cribs, toys, just anything to prepare him and Alexander for their baby. So far, he has had little luck.
Alexander, per the usual, was inhaling pudding cups like they were some highly addictive drug...which they might as well be at this point. He leaned over the back of the couch to watch Kage. "What about that one?" He reached and scrolled back up a few posts to a cute, little, pastel green bassinet. "I like this one."
Kage hesitated, but he clicked on the post for the bassinet. "It looks just like all the other one's though."
"Yeah, but that one just speaks to me." Alexander stepped over the back of the couch to sit next to Kage, placing his now empty pudding cup on the coffee table. "I'm sure they all look the same to you, and we aren't in any rush, but if I can help by limiting options, I will."
Kage sighed. He wanted everything to be perfect for their kid, even if it was still a few months before they would even know a gender. He needed a bassinet for the living room, a crib for upstairs, toys, bottles, diapers, he needed to find everything now so that it didn't creep up on him in a few months. They were, after all, already a month into the pregnancy, month 6 would be here a lot sooner then he hoped for.
Kage's vision was obstructed by something white, an envelope. He leaned his head back to see Anthony holding their mail. "Is this mine?"
"I wouldn't be handing it to you if it wasn't yours. It's from the school."
Kage took it in his hand and tore the seal open, taking the papers out and unfolding them. "Oh, it's my class request."
Alexander leaned closer and looked over the papers. "Why a class request?"
"I had a few people recommend it, especially the nurses. It wouldn't go unnoticed for long that I'm carrying, they jumped on me like a week ago and asked how the hell it happened, just the basic crap they'd ask anyone who came in with a full pregnancy at our age, well, my age. It's not often that they have someone who they deem underaged come in with one." Kage scanned the classes they put him in, they're all just default intro classes, which isn't bad, but he already knew everything there was to all of them but the business class. "I decided to go with what they said this one time because journaling will get harder when the baby is born, I can easily do class work from home but I can't bring a baby to the combat class."
Anthony took the recliner, looking through the names on the rest of their mail and making piles on his lap. "What did they say about the underaged pregnancy shit? Normally they crack down on the adult of the relationship and raise hell for the one who blessed them, right?"
"I mentioned Kyrie by name, not Alex though. Kyrie is untouchable apparently, they couldn't do anything when I said she did the blessing for me. They did prod me for who the other was, but I didn't want to get Alex in trouble." He folded the paper up and slipped it back into the envelope. "I'm sure they'll make assumptions if they look into my living situation. Automatically they'll assume either of you, so don't be too shocked if they call you guys up at some point."
Anthony kept sorting the mail. "Well, I don't feel any need to come if they call on me. It should be evident that you and I aren't close like that."
Kage nodded in agreement. "Yeah, but that doesn't mean anything in their book. If they see that I come in contact with you often then you're automatically going to be suspected since I wouldn't say any names for them to go off of."
