KR had been home alone all day, this week was dedicated to a rotating training schedule for her and Rose, this was one of the days she didn't have to go in at all. She knew Kyrie would be busy at school, so texting her was a no go.
She checked her phone when it vibrated, it was a text from Vallen.
--TEXT CONVERSATION--
Vallen: [I'm so fucking bored.]
KR: [Aww, what have you been up to?]
Vallen: [Just stupid paperwork again. That contract shit is still not done as far as the written forms go.]
KR: [Which contract?]
Vallen: [Just the updating of the one with your sister. I'm so ready for it to be done with, it's been 4 months and they still haven't finished anything.]
KR: [Well, who's 'they?']
Vallen: [Your parents have done what they needed, it's just the clan that's being slow as hell.]
KR: [Speaking of my parents, how are they?]
Vallen: [Same as usual. They didn't seem too phased by any of this.]
KR: [Yeah, that doesn't shock me much. They only ever did any of that thinking she would stay back home.]
Vallen: [Yeah, I figured that much after she left without them fighting her on it.] [Actually, I have a question.]
KR: [Ask it.]
Vallen: [Why did you leave too? Is there something in Akuma that you'll benefit from?]
KR: [Hmm, good question.]
Vallen: [...do you have an answer for this 'good' question?]
KR: [Well, yeah, I do. I wanted to follow Kyrie I guess...and get away from there since I didn't have anything holding me back.]
Vallen: [Have you ever thought about coming back?]
KR: [I can't say I have. Maybe to visit mom and dad, but nothing permanent.]
Vallen didn't reply.
KR: [Why do you ask?]
Vallen: [I don't know, I was just curious...I could use a distraction.]
KR: [Distraction?]
Vallen: [Yeah, it's lonely here. I have your parents since mine are still out and about, but their presence doesn't really satisfy the kind of company I want.]
KR: [You mean you want a relationship?]
Vallen: [Eh, yeah, I guess that's one way to put it.]
KR blushed as she read that.
Vallen: [Would your sister kill me if I just showed up randomly?]
KR: [Uh, why would you show up? You know she's with someone...right?]
Vallen: [I'm not coming to see her, but I know she doesn't care to have me around. I'm as passed her as I can be.]
KR: [Then why would you want to come here? We're so far away, there's not really any reason other then Kyrie being here.]
Vallen called KR's phone. She answered on the first ring.
Vallen's annoyance was clear in his tone. "I want to come see you, not your sister."
KR was shocked. "Why would you want to see me?"
He sighed. "Am I not allowed to?"
She fidgeted with her hair. "I mean...you are. I just don't get why you want to see me of all people. I'm sure you have friends there that would make for a better time."
"My friends here are tools, I don't give a shit about them. You at least take the time to listen to me." He was quiet. "So is that a yes or no?"
"How soon would you want to come here?"
"Hmm...this weekend? I can leave in the next hour and be there on Friday." He was quiet again, but there were muffled voices in the back, one was his. "Pick somewhere to eat Friday night and we can go out, my treat."
KR's face burned up, she couldn't believe this was actually happening. "Uh, okay."
His voice was muffled again. "Okay, I'll leave here within the next hour. Be ready for me after school on Friday, I'll pick you up from there and then take you to your place so you can drop your things off."
She pulled her knees to her chest and smiled big. "Okay!" Then it dawned on her that she didn't have any classes on Friday at her training school. "Oh, wait! I don't have any classes Friday, I'll just be at home that day."
"Ah, alright, I'll text you when I leave, bye."
"Bye." She set her phone down and squealed with excitement. Vallen definitely just asked her on a last minute date and was now taking an almost THREE DAY trip to come see her.
~==~ 1:30pm ~==~
KR got a text from Vallen saying that he had left. According to her parents, he would be able to make the trip in about 60 hours, which meant he'd be there, with pit stops, at around 12:00pm on Friday.
She couldn't wait for Friday now. This was the most exciting thing to happen since she met Vallen when they were kids.
