It was silent between the three who were sitting in Bobby's study waiting for Sam to finish his withdrawal and waiting for the angels to come a notify Dean when they needed him.

Bobby stood at his desk leaning forward, Dean was sitting on the couch, his mind racing with the worry of his brother's condition while Nadia was sitting beside him her head pounding in stress.

It was last night that Castiel told her that she couldn't be with Dean, and the half angel couldn't sleep one bit nor did she tell the Winchester.

If Castiel was right, there was nothing to tell.

Obviously, the angels had something big set up for Dean and if he was going to be able to save the world, she didn't want to be the person to stand in his way.

"I'm gonna ask one more time," Bobby spoke. "Are we absolutely sure we're doing the right thing?"

Dean looked at Bobby, standing, "Bobby, you saw what was happening to him down there. The demon blood is killing him."

"No, it isn't." Bobby shook his head, "We are."

Dean scoffed in disbelief. "What?"

"I'm sorry. I can't bite my tongue any longer. We're killing him. Keeping him locked up down there. This cold-turkey thing isn't working. If. . . if he doesn't get what he needs, soon, Sam's not gonna last much longer."

Dean shook his head, hearing Bobby but refusing to give into his brother's habit.

"No. I'm not giving him demon blood. I won't do it."

"And if he dies?"

"Then at least he dies human!" Dean yelled.

He lowered his voice, "I would die for him in a second, but I won't let him do this to himself. I can't. I guess I found my line. I won't let my brother turn into a monster."

The rest of the day consisted of listening to Sam go in and out of his delusions.

In the midst of that, the three spent the day in and out drinking waiting for the moment when the angels were going to call Dean.

Nightfall hit, and the boys were already asleep. Bobby at his desk and Dean on the couch.
