Rwanda 1994

Trees and grass fill the area as a running river fills the silence. The moon hung high in the sky with millions of stars around it. Clouds, slightly see-through, moved slowly overhead. A barefoot boy runs panting and gasping for breath as a six-wheeled truck chases after him. In the truck was carrying men with machine guns, the men hollered as they drove in the dark after the boy. The truck revving and roaring as the men laugh like wild animals while shooting the sky as the boy runs with fear. Tears run down his face as another truck with men drives next to him cutting him off, the boy stops as the trucks pull up and stop the boy. Men from both trucks aim their guns at the boy, the boy stands there and slowly walks backward only to fall. The boy looks up with past one of the trucks seeing flames coming toward him and the trucks. On the other side of the flames was a humanoid figure with glowing electric red eyes, the man just stares at the boy. The boy blinks another tear only to notice that the man was gone, the boy whipped his eyes and stood up. "I'm not afraid of you," he said while choking on his words. The door to the truck ahead of the boy opens as a man walks out while holding a machine gun in his hand. The man slams the door shut and walks over to the boy kneeling down.

Talhi- "Yeah, and why's that? Huh? Tell me why you are not scared of us."

The boy- "Because my name is Takka and I'm the fastest boy around here. I could outrun you in a heartbeat."

Talhi-(Chuckles) "You are trying to be funny but it's not wise to make jokes around me, boy. Now you can come with us quietly or by force. Either way, you're coming with us."

The boy spits in Talhi's face and backs up looking nervous and serious at the same time. Talhi looks at the boy while whipping the spit from his face, Talhi stands up and begins walking away. He signals a hand gesture as a man gets out from the truck behind Takka and hits him in the back of the head with the back of the gun. Takka falls down not moving while Talhi looks at the man standing over Takka's body.

Talhi- "Take him to the others, we'll finish them all there."

Talhi gets in his truck and begins turning the truck around then drives off while the man picks up Takka and throws him in the back of the truck. The man gets on the back of the truck as it begins pulling away heading after Talhi's truck.

At the Hutu base, Talhi's truck comes to a stop with the other truck close behind him. Hundreds of men with machine guns stand aiming their guns at men, women, and children that cry in fear or pain. Some people lie dead at the edge of the Hutu base. Talhi walks over to the truck and grabs an unconscious Takka and walks him over to a wooden pole with a rope on it, Talhi raises Takka's hands as a Hutu member ties the rope around his hands. Takka's body stands there as he begins coming too. Takka opens his eyes seeing Talhi staring at him with a smirk on his face. Talhi begins walking back to his truck while rolling up his sleeves, he grabs a gun from a man and turns around. Talhi aims the gun at Takka. Takka looks at Talhi's arm seeing a scar in the shape of a star on his wrist.

Talhi- "Care to give any last words?"

Takka goes to speak as Talhi pulls the trigger. A humanoid shadow runs and grabs the bullet while cutting the rope to all of the men, women, and children. The shadow stops moving and looks at Talhi for a moment.

Talhi- (In fear) "What are you?"

The shadow looks around seeing all of the men holding guns.

Talhi- "Fire."

The men with the guns fire their weapons as the shadow runs as a blur killing the men with the guns, the shadow comes to a halt while looking at Talhi. The men behind the shadow fall. Talhi looks at the shadow seeing it's red static eyes.

Shadow- (Deep voice while looking at Takka) "It's not your time yet. (Looks at Talhi) You're not going to kill him, no. He's meant to face me later in the future."

Talhi- "That still doesn't tell me what you are."

Shadow- "I'll tell you soon but first."

The shadow runs at Talhi and punches him before Talhi pulls the trigger. The shadow looks back at Takka with his red eyes then runs into the night disappearing. A survivor tells everyone to get in the trucks, the men get in the back of the trucks as the women grab their children and enter the trucks. Takka's father, Kaku, puts him in the back of the truck, Kaku begins to climb in the back of the truck only to get shot in the back by Talhi on the ground. Kaku falls to his knees while looking at Takka.

Kaku- "Drive and don't come back."

The trucks begin to drive away as Kaku falls to the ground in a puddle of blood.

Takka- (Screaming with tears) "Papa! Papa! No, Papa!"

The trucks drive in the dark of the night until they vanished from Talhi's sight
