Scene 2 "Power outage in Vegas"

Las Vegas, 23 years later

In a casino, men and women laugh and anger with the sounds of winning and losing games. A bouncer walks up behind a drunk man who stumbles over a woman in a purple dress, her hair was in a ponytail. By her side was Kevin Strong, the richest man in Vegas. He owned almost every building in Sin city. Kevin looks at the drunken man then snaps his fingers, a bouncer grabs the back of the drunken man's shirt and begins carrying him out of the building.

Drunk man- (While walking) "But I didn't..."

The drunk man throws up on a group of nearby people standing around a man in an unbuttoned black suit, under the jacket of the suit was a shirt with a blue-faced devil with long white horns and a long blood-red tongue. The man in the suit looks at the drunken man and excuses him. While the bouncer walks the drunken man out of the casino a tall black man named Luke Harris walks in wearing an electricians uniform. His uniform had a few stitches from cuts and stains from oil. Luke passes by a group of women who check him out as he walked past. Luke walks up to Kevin and puts his hand out and waits for Kevin to shake it. Kevin stands up and pulls a tissue out from his pocket and shook Luke's hand with it while groaning in disgust.

Luke Harris- "Where's the problem, sir?"

Kevin Strong- "Mr. Harris, is it?"

Luke Harris- "Yes sir."

Kevin Strong- "The problem is out back. Follow Gunther he'll show you."

Luke goes to follow Gunther, a massive man with a suit on, outback only to get stopped by Kevin's hand.

Kevin Strong- "I heard you're the best in town."

Luke Harris- "That's right. I know my way around any circuit board."

Kevin Strong- (Grabs a drink from a waitress) "Yeah that's great. I called you specifically. You know that I know about your daughter's health problem, right?"

Luke Harris- (Disappointed) "Yes sir. Lia's cancer is taking a huge toll on her. She's been hospitalized since last week Tuesday."

Kevin Strong- (Whispers in Luke's ear) "Listen, if you get the circuit thing running again I'll give you 2G extra tonight. Ok?"

Luke Harris- (Smiles a little) "Yes sir. I'll do my best."

Kevin Strong- "Get it done."

Kevin sits down and tells the dealer he's bidding a thousand more. Luke follows Gunther out to the back. Outback, Luke asks Gunther if he could stay at the door for a moment. Gunther stands at the door as Luke heads over to the power transformer behind the casino. Luke pulls out a flashlight and clicks it on, he aims it at the box and pulls out a keychain. He pulls a key up and fits it in the lock opening it. A slight blast of thunder fills the sky, Luke looks up at the dark cloudy sky then to Gunther.

Luke Harris- "Sounds like a storm is coming in."

Gunther stood there not moving or smiling. Luke looks back at the transformer while he opens it and looks around it for a moment. A bolt of lightning strikes on the other end of the city, the casino's power turns off as everyone inside jumps in fear. Kevin Stand up and begins walking to the back. Outside Luke closes the transformer and begins walking to the door only for Kevin to walk outside passing Gunther angrily.

Kevin Strong- "Mr. Harris, I gave you one job and what did you do? You messed it up. (Pulls out a handgun from the back of his pants) So, where do you want the bullet to go?"

Luke Harris- (Thinks) "Wait, wait. I can fix it. Nobody else knows how, if you kill me you won't have any power here. And without power, you don't make any money. I'll do it for fifty percent of what you offered."
