Scene 5 "3...2...1...go"

In the Speed Kingdom worn down people walk towards the golden palace as a man shouts over a cheering stadium. The man's name is King Golthan.

King Golthan- "Ladies and Gentlemen, we welcome you here today..."

Francois- "He's starting it, come on."

Francois and Luke run at a normal pace to the palace. In the stadium behind the palace, King Golthan continues talking.

King Golthan- "Today is the two-hundredth year of the race. We seem to have a great one this year. We have Pulsar. This girl is from Earth 41 and her speed is Mach 60. (Pulsar waves while stretching) Next up we have Accelerate, this young man is a fast one ladies and gentlemen. He's from Earth 63 and his speed is Mach 32. (Crowd cheers as Accelerate waves)"

King Golthan announces names like Turbo, Bullet, Blue Bolt, and more. As he's about to announce the race to begin Francois runs in with Luke while shouting "wait". The crowd grew silent as King Golthan stops the announcement and looks at Francois and Luke while Luke looks around the stadium at all of the people staring at him with wonder.

King Golthan- (In wonder) "Mr. Musonera, What are you doing here?"

Francois- "Because I feel that this man has the power to beat The king of speed."

King Golthan- "Here we go again Francois, the King of Speed doesn't exist."

Francois- "He does exist he... (Gets interrupted by)

King Golthan- "Do you know who he is or have any proof of his existence?"

Francois stops talking while King Golthan looks at Luke.

King Golthan- "And who the hell are you?"

Francois steps aside and lets Luke talk.

Luke Harris- "My name is Luke... Luke Harris."

King Golthan looks at Luke than to Francois as the crowd stays quiet.

King Golthan- "Francois, you think this man can just show up out of nowhere and expect to run in this race?"

Francois- "No, (The crowd gets confused) I know he can win."

King Golthan- (Sighs) "Fine but we have to give you a nickname... Sparky? (The crowd booed at the name) Whatever we'll figure that out after the race... (Under his breath) If you live. (To the crowd and contestants) Alright, line up at the starting line."

Blue Bolt, Accelerate, Turbo, Pulsar, Comet, Bullet, and Luke line up at the starting line. Luke Sees the men and woman dressed in different colored suits that looked like spandex, he looked down at his ragged clothes and remembered Lia coughing in the hospital bed. King Golthan begins counting down as Luke continues to think about Lia.

King Golthan- "3... 2... 1... Go."

The racers take off running in the blink of an eye they were gone while Luke sat there thinking.

Francois- "Luke, (Luke looks at him) Run now."

Luke looks up and begins running as a sonic boom goes off behind him. King Golthan smirks a little with a chuckle. Luke begins running seeing Comet. He begins running next to her only to get punched by her, he falls and begins sliding on the ground as dust flies up he hears Lia's voice in his head.

Lia- "Daddy are you ok?"

Luke Harris- "Yes Lia, Daddy just got a cut."

Lia- "Well my daddy always told me to get back up, dust off my shoulder and get back to it."

Accelerate smirks slightly as King Golthan begins counting down. Everything slows down around Luke as a white spark flickers from his hands and feet. He begins running again. In the front of the race Turbo and Accelerate fight for first while Pulsar, Blue Bolt, and Bullet stride for second and third. Luke runs after Comet trying to reach her before she passes the finish line. Comet turns her head seeing Luke gaining on her fast, she tries running fast but still Luke gets a little closer. Comet stops and turns around, the crowd cheers as King Golthan begins wondering. Luke tries stopping as Comet raises a fist at him. Luke raises his hands trying to stop only for a burst of electricity to shoot from his hands at Comet's chest, she flies back a few feet. Luke takes notice and continues running past the finish line, Luke stops while the crowd begins cheering and shouting Voltage over and over again.

King Golthan- (Standing from his throne) "Ladies and gentlemen I give you the first race victors. Accelerate, Blue Bolt, Turbo, Pulsar, and... Voltage.

The crowd cheers louder after they heard Voltage. Luke looks around as a group of floating cameras and robotic reporters begin questioning him about the race and he answers I just got my speed today guys. Francois walks up to Luke and shakes his hand while being escorted out of the arena while Accelerate stares at Luke. Luke looks down seeing his clothes on fire, Francois pulls a towel from his sleeve and hands it to Luke.

Francois- "We don't want you to get embarrassed before the next race."

Luke looks around seeing Comet stand up and try to run only to fail at it.

Luke Harris- "Hey Francois, why can't she run anymore?"

Francois- "Simple, The loser loses their speed and gives it to the competitor ahead of them for a better advantage for the next race."

Luke Harris- "So I'm as fast as Comet?"

Francois- "Wrong. You're faster. Your speed and her speed mixed inside of you making you reach Mach 41.5 you're the 4th fastest one here."

Luke Harris- "How fast was I when I first ran?"

Francois- "I don't know yet. We can figure that out later."

Luke Harris- "Well what do we do now?"

Francois- (Luke stumbles a little) "We feast. A speedster has to eat a lot otherwise you won't be able to run and you'll become normal again... and die."

Luke Harris- "Die? Why would I die?"

Francois- "Because in this world you have to be either born a speedster or given the right to be here and since you were neither you'll just fall over and die. (Luke looks in fear) Now come we must eat."
