Scene 9 "Near Death Experience"

{Speedies Diner}

Luke, Alina, Francois, Hyperdrift, and Accelerate sit in a booth next to a window while eating. The waitress winks at Luke as she hands him a massive plate of a burger, fries, and drink. While they ate Francois and the rest of the speedsters begin thinking about a plan to beat Tuhan, Luke begins stuffing his face full of food.

Luke Harris- (To a passing waitress) "May I have some more fries?"

The waitress nods and walks to the back while Luke begins thinking.

Francois- "And that's how we beat Tuhan at his own game. (Looks at Luke) Luke, Did you hear me?"

Luke Harris- "Yeah."

Francois- "Good, now let's go. We have a big day tomorrow."

Everyone begins to get up only for Luke to tell Francois that they'll be out in a moment. Francois smiles and says his goodbye. Everyone sits back down as the waitress gives Luke more fries.

Alina- (In confusion) "What's going on?"

Accelerate- "Yeah what's up?"

Luke Harris- (Checking for Francois) "Ok, I have to tell you guys something but you can't tell anyone. Got it?"

Hyperdrift- "You're Voltage we're not saying a thing if it comes from you."

Luke Harris- "Ok so I've been thinking. What if Francois is Tuhan?"

Everyone sits back in disbelief.

Luke Harris- "Look I know it sounds crazy but in his closet, I saw the same suit in a bag that Tuhan was wearing."

Accelerate- "Luke what you're saying isn't possible. Francois was with us when Tuhan attacked us."

Luke Harris- "I know, but how could he know about a monstrous speedster before the King and any of the racers?"

Accelerate- "You know you say that and it makes sense."

Luke Harris- (Looks at Accelerate) "I have a plan to catch him in the act. While we race (Looks at Alina and Hyperdrift) you two sit with him in the stands and if you see anything make sure you both grab him and run as fast as you can and lock him up. I also have a question. (Everyone looks at him) Does anyone know where Comet is being held?"

Hyperdrift- "We do."

Alina- "She's being kept in the pulse cages under the kingdoms biggest and most protected tower."

Luke Harris- (Thinks) "Ok I have it. (Looks at Hyperdrift and Alina) You two get Comet out of there while (Looks at Accelerate) we handle the race, we have to catch Francois off guard and get him into one of those cages."

Luke looks outside seeing Tuhan standing in an alley looking at them.

Luke Harris- (Calmly) "Nobody look at the alley he's out there. Just ignore him."

Tuhan runs from the alley to the table in a split second, he stands next to the table while Luke, Accelerate, Hyperdrift, and Alina turns their heads slowly at him. He laughs evilly and punches Luke then grabs his collar of his shirt and runs him to the kitchen of the restaurant and throws him into the stove then at the ceiling. Luke sits on the ground with his back against the wall, Tuhan runs and brings his knee into Luke's face. Luke falls to the floor, Tuhan turns around seeing Hyperdrift, Alina, and Accelerate running very slowly from the table after Luke and himself.

Tuhan- "See you tomorrow Voltage."

Tuhan runs out of the restaurant throwing the cook, waitresses, Hyperdrift, Alina, and Accelerate. Hyperdrift regains balance and runs on the walls catching the cook and placing him on the ground, she then runs out to the dining room and catches the waitresses and sits them down on the ground. Hyperdrift then runs into the kitchen and catches her sister and Accelerate and places them on the ground then checks on Luke.
