Peaceful days were rare, but well appreciated for Kanan and Hera. They stood on the balcony of Ezra's communication tower, looking out to Lothal's factory in the distance. Ezra, Sabine, Zeb and Ryder had set out on a mission to get a good look at the new TIE defender. That left Kanan, Hera and Chopper to station themselves ready to strike if something went downhill. But so far, everything was going to plan. However, talk was small between the two adults. Kanan had been silent for quite a while and it was starting to worry Hera. He usually made some kind of conversation with her, but today he'd been rather quiet. Giving her binoculars to Chopper, Hera stood beside Kanan who was leaning against the railing and placed a hand on his arm.

"Hey, you okay?" She asked.

Kanan didn't reply, just continued to stare out to the distance under his mask.

"Kanan?" Hera repeated.

"Do you remember when you first met me?" Kanan suddenly said.

Hera blinked in surprise at the abrupt question but answered anyway.

"How could I not remember? The day I met you was the day my whole life changed."

"In a good way or bad way?"

Hera smiled to herself at the Jedi's words.

"Both" she teased, lightly bumping him with her side.

Kanan exhaled a chuckle and smiled at her warmly.

"Things have really changed since then huh? We made a family, frustrated the Empire, joined a larger rebellion, forced a Sith Lord and a Grand Admiral out into the spot light."

Kanan then sighed, shaking his head with an amused smile on his face.

"How in all the galaxy did I get caught up in all this?"

Hera laughed.

"Because I gave you the chance to" she said.

"Still don't know if it was the right choice" Kanan grinned.

Hera lightly punched his shoulder to which the Jedi chuckled and held up his hands in surrender.

"Easy captain, don't want to bust up your favourite Jedi do you?" He rasied a brow.

"Who said you were my favourite Jedi?" Hera grinned.

Kanan placed a hand over his heart, mouth open and a look of fake hurt on his face.

"I'm wounded Hera, oh! What did I ever do to deserve this cruelty?"

Hera held back her laughter. It wasn't everyday Kanan would be as childish as he was right now.

"Oh I'm sorry you poor Jedi, how can I make it up to you?" Hera smirked.

Kanan grinned in response and straitened his posture. He moved closer to the Twe'lik and lightly kissed her cheek.

"That'll do" he replied, turning back to Capital City.

A light pink blush lit up Hera's cheeks as she smiled bashfully at the ground. Chopper warbled in amusement before entering the tower to leave the two rebels alone.

"What were your favorite times back then?" Kanan asked.

"I think the times we fought side by side, just the two of us, no one else" Hera replied.

"What were yours?"

A grin pulled at Kanan's lips.

"You remember the tickle fights we had?" He asked slyly, turning to face Hera completely.
