Hey you guys! I haven't updated in like forever because I was busy and stuff but I promise that I will try my best to update at least twice every week this chapter is kinda short but it will do. N e ways ..enjoyyy🌚❣️
"I've got the worksheets, you just finish those, okay? Okay," I answered for Ash, pushing his unfinished papers from yesterday in his face. I really just wanted to go home.
The soccer ball left me with a black eye on the left, a large bruise right under it, and a nose that didn't want to stop bleeding for an hour and a half. The teacher never even asked what happened, they just sat me out. Cartney obviously did that on purpose. There was no way that was an accident. And I would have told that to the teacher, but talking hurts way too much.
"Did the soccer balk break anything? Other than your dignity, I mean," Ash simpered. I growled at him. Who was he to ask in such a rude way?
"No. And I still have plenty dignity; at least twice as much as your ugly ego," I retorted painfully. My jaw felt like it was shattering with each syllable. Ace slapped a hand over his heart and looked at me, sarcastically, of course, like I hurt him. I rolled my eyes and handed him the textbook. "Oh, please, I'm sure you get that a lot. Now do your work... and leave my phone alone," I mumbled, referring to yesterday's terrible incident.
Ash never looked up from his worksheets, but he still seemed like he wanted conversation. "So what's up with you and Paige? A little lovey dovey, you know what I mean?" He quizzed.
"OH MY GOD, NO!" I protested loudly, but lowered my voice because it seemed a bit too loud, "We're both completely straight, moron. Why would you think that we were...?" I couldn't finish my sentence because otherwise I'd burst out into laughter.
"Well, you guys just get along so well. And I wouldn't blame you, since Paige is cute enough to make anyone want to date her," Ash said, quickly covering the last part up with an awkward cough. "But I don't get into long term relationships, so don't worry." He winked at me, which made me roll my eyes.
"She wouldn't want to date a guy who's face is worse than shrek's. But tell me: why don't you get into long term relationships? I'm legitimately kind of curious. But don't think you can take a break from the worksheets," I said. This was basically my job, tutoring Ash. I wasn't about to let him take a break. Not after him not apologizing in the hallways. Wow, am I that petty?
"Because I don't want to be the one with the broken heart, simple as that. But most of the girls I get with don't actually make me fall in love anyways," Ace mumbled. Ooh, this kid's got secrets that I wanna hear.
"I hear secrets," I sang with a smile on my face that suggested that I obviously wanted to hear them. Now. Ash shook his head and flipped his paper over to the back. There is no way I'm going to let him get away that easily. "Come on... Just one little secret? And I'll give you one of mine!" I was lying. But maybe he'd believe me.
"Fine. One secret. And you have to tell me one after, deal?" He held out a hand, which I took and gave it two large shakes. He didn't notice the crossed fingers behind my back.
"Okay... I may or may not watch My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic with my little sister. Voluntarily. Now it's your turn to spill." I let out a loud snort of laughter, which I immediately giggled at and covered my face. Did I really just laugh like that? In front of him?
"Haha, as if I'd actually tell you a secret. Gotcha!" I squealed in an excited voice. Ash stood up from his seat, which made me jump up and run away. I didn't even need to look back to be able to tell that he was chasing me. We were running around an old library, screaming and squealing and secret spilling. What is wrong with us?
