Toni's Pov

I sat at a table in the corner of The Ivy Restaurant waiting for my sisters who was supposed to be here an hour ago. Frustrated, I began to gather my things when suddenly I heard Tamar's voice.

Tamar: Where you going child?

Toni: You guys are late. You said 6 and it's going 8

Tamar: Honey beauty like this takes time and I had to pick up Evelyn's children.

Toni: Just sit down and shut up

Tamar: Ugh who pissed in your tea today

Toni: Not today Tamar shut your mouth.

Traci: Toni what's wrong with you?

Toni: Nothing okay just leave it alone guys

Trina: I think not Toni obviously something is biting at you. What's wrong?

Toni: If I tell you guys will y'all shut up?

Sisters: No

Towanda: Just tell us Toni.

Toni: Fine. Remember the Janet concert and how I didn't want to go?

Tamar: Keep going

Toni: I didn't want to go because it would've brought up so many emotions which happened anyways. You guys remember the first time that you met Janet and she asked me to go with her with her friends? That day something happened and it lead to so many heartache.

Towanda: Toni are you trying to say that you and Janet....kicked it?

Tamar: So that's why you went ghost on us for three whole years?

Toni: Yea

Traci: What happened in that room at the concert Toni?

Toni: I gave her closure. She needed to know everything and I gave that to her but now I can't get the look she had out of my head. I swear I didn't mean to hurt her but I can't take back what I did.

Tamar: You cheated on Janet? Bitch are you stupid? How he hell could you be so stupid?

Toni: Don't you think I realize that Tamar? I know I fucked up okay.

Traci: That's so pitiful Toni.  She's too sweet to have had someone play her like that. Well now you don't have to worry about her because her wife done took your place girl

Toni: Her wife?

Towanda: You didn't know? Everybody knows

Toni: N-No I didn't know she was married * looks across the room* is that her? * points in direction*

Sisters: *Turns to look*

Tamar: Yup that's her

Toni: *mumbles* She's beautiful.

I watched as Janet and her wife came in and sat down. To say that her wife was beautiful was an understatement she was gorgeous. They smiled and held hands like we used to do. The way Janet stared at her made my stomach turn...she used to look at me like that. I felt the tears threatening to come up but I bed it down. She looked happy with her...like she was with me. Every single emotion began to stir in my heart and I couldn't take it any longer.

Toni: Guys I don't think I feel too good so I'm gonna go. I'll see you guys later.

I walked out before they could ask questions and got in my car. Sitting there, I began to reminisce on she and I and the love that we shared but I fucked up and now she's happy with someone else. Tears cane down my face as I looked back inside the restaurant to where they sat as Janet leaned over and placed a kiss on the woman.  My heart felt like it sunk to the bottom of my feet but I couldn't be upset. I sucked up my tears and pulled off. Denim and Diezsl were with their father so the house was empty. When I got home, I threw everything down and headed straight to the bedroom. Seeing her so happy with another woman hurt me to my core but I couldn't be mad... I pushed her to that woman. I gave her access to love another woman just because I fucked up.
