The Next Night
Unlike the previous night, silence washed over the present company.
They sat in the dining area, none really eating the mush for dinner. Dead Eye was absent- he was making a radioing a member of his team, a Killjoy by the name of Trophy Son.
Siren looked over at the man sitting next to her, his obnoxiously bright red hair sticking out at odd angles. He noticed her glance and wrapped his arm around her, giving a smile that was obviously forced.
She couldnt help wondering if his repentance last night had something to do with the fact he thought he was going to die. Or that she was. Of course it was a possibilty, but Siren didnt want to think that the ever- herioc Party Poison thought the mission would lead to that.
A few silent moments later, Dead Eye came out of the transmitter room. He looked around at the nine other faces in the room and sighed.
"You guys ready?" he asked.
Everyone stood up together. They made their way outside to the two cars. Show Pony was driving Crossfire and Ghoul to the building with the explosives in Daisy. Everyone else was squeezing into the boys' car with Dead Eye driving. After Crossfire and Ghoul successfully detonated the building though, Show Pony was supposed to drive to the Drac unit where Rebel was and pick up Siren, Party, and Rebel.
The seven exchanged their goodbyes with Crossfire, Ghoul, and Show Pony. They all watched as they got into Daisy and drove off. Then, precisely eight minutes after they left, the others got i to the other car, and Dead Eye drove off.

Dead Eye dropped them off seven blocks from the Drac unit. He parked behind a store that also happened to be a Killjoy hideout. Most of the journey was in alleyways, but the street to the unit was clear and well protected.
The six walked in a single file line- first Party, then Siren, then Nova, then Kobra, then Jet Star, then Cyanide.
Party turned at the corner he was supposed to, and they all followed silently. They stood in front of a small wall, and on the other side sat the back of the unit. They all hopped it and swiftly made their way to the garage door.
Dead Eye had told them that it was very rarely actually locked. But if it was, the entire operation would crumble.
Party put two hands on the door and pushed. A moment of agony passed before it slid up freely. It opened with a bang, and the others immediately turned to the door that led to the rest of the unit, guns ready. No one burst through though, and they opened it an walked through.
They entered a pristine white hallway. Suddenly, yells echoed down the hallway. The six entered the room they knew was the closet and waited.
The yelling came closer, and the words explosives and Killjoys rang through the air. Siren almost gasped with relief, Crossfire and Ghoul did it. Now, hopefully they wouldnt get caught.
The footsteps and voices faded, and they waited a moment before leaving the cramped space. Party opened the door and stuck his head out, looking both ways. Eventually, he walked out, and the others followed.
They walked up the stairs and paused before the door they knew was a security station. Party gave them a 3-2-1 countdown on his fingers before kicking open the door. Almost instantly shots were fired, and the two dracs who had been sitting at the computers were ghosted.
Kobra pushed the bodies off of the chairs and sat down in one, Cyanide in the other. They began to type away on the keys, and Party nodded at Nova and Jet Star, making sure they were okay and knew what to do. They both nodded back, and Party pulled Siren out of the room and down an equally as white hallway. Again, they raced up the stairs to the third floor.
Party paused before opening the door to the hallway Siren knew was on the other side. She looked at him quizzically, and he just squeezed her hand and brought it up to his lips.
He opened the door, and Siren could already tell this would be the hardest part of the mission.
Three dracs were walking down the hallway, facing the opposite direction. Within seconds, their bodies were limp on the floor, but Siren knew that there would be more.
They made a left, a left, shot two more dracs, began to run, right, four more dracs, left, two more dracs, right, seven more dracs.
The last group was tricky, but Siren and Party had the element of surprise on them, which led to seven white- clad bodies bleeding crimson onto the white tile floors.
Party didnt pause before kicking down the door he knew lead to Rebel's cell. There was a dark, small room with a door on the opposite wall and a screen and some controls in the desk. A drac sat in front of them, and then fell to the floor with a hole in his chest.
There was no door handle on the door, and it looked too heavy to force open. Siren stood in front of it while Party looked over the controls. Finally, he hit a button, and the door swung open.
Siren stepped inside, and gasped. There, on the white concrete floor, sat Rebel Revenge. She looked at Siren, confused, and then at the man who stood in the corner.
He was bald and pale. His features were ageless but his eyes were wild. He smiled at Siren, and his smile was the most menacing thing Siren had ever seen.
The man that stood in front of her was the man that was to blame for the civilian zombies. He was to blame for the dracs roaming around. He was to blame for all Killjoy deaths. He was to blame for the Helium Wars, for her brother's and sister's lives.
"Korse." she spat. The name that she hated for so long now had a face, a being. "Korse." she said again, this time it sounded like a growl.
She swung her gun up and shot.
