Party got up and walked to his room. He wanted to talk to Siren without them being sarcastic for once. He calmed himself while he looked down at the picture he was holding.

He opened the door, preparing for war, and found Siren curled up in a ball on his bed in his clothes and looking like she was about to cry.

Party would have rather had her screaming at him.

"Uh. Are- are you okay?" He wasnt entirely sure what to do. He was good at comforting people, but Siren didnt seem like the type of person who would want to be comforted.

"Im not okay." She sighed. "Sorry that I am in your room." She didnt move though, so he figured she wasnt sorry enough to leave. He laughed.

She looked at him for the first time upon entering. "What?"

"You. You confuse me. A lot." Party sat on the end of the bed.

Siren sat up and leaned her head against the wall. "How do I confuse you?" She closed her eyes.

"For starters, you hate me, yet you wear my clothes and sleep in my bed. Also, you are possibly the scariest girl I know, yet you blush at sexual innuedos. You make it seem like you dont want me to know anything about you, but you hand me a picture of you as a teenager. Need I go on?"

She shook her head, eyes still closed. "I confuse myself too." She smiled and almost- laughed, but it sounded hollow.

"Who is the other girl in the photo?" Party inquired.

Siren's eyes shot open and her relaxed posture was gone.

"A friend." she snapped.

Whoever she was, she didnt want to talk about it. Party decided not to press the matter further.

He sighed, and she leaned her head back and closed her eyes again. She didnt tell him to leave, so he didnt. He got out his drawing notebook and sat back on the bed, legs crossed. Siren opened an eye when he sat back down, but stayed silent. He began to draw the girl from the photo. He sat there and drew for a long time.

By the time he was finished, the sun had gone down and he had turned on the lamp for light. He had assumed that Siren had fallen asleep.

"You done yet?" she said.

Party almost fell off the bed. "Uh, almost." After a couple of minutes, he turned the drawing towards her. "Finished."

She opened her eyes and looked at the paper. "You're a good artisit. She would have loved this." She smiled to herself, as if recalling a distant memory.

"It needs a name."

She looked at him without anger, only sadness. She held out her hand, and for a moment Party was confused. He handed her a pencil, and she scribbled something on the paper.

"There." She handed the pencil back to him. She stared at the drawing, and right when he was about to ask what she did, she handed it back to him.

Curving with the girl's head was the name Gabrielle.

"Was that her name? Gabrielle?" Party barely whispered.

Siren drew her legs to her chin. "We called her Gabby."

"What happened to her?"

"She was turned into a drac."

"Oh." was all Party could say. But she looked exhausted, and extremely vulnerable in the way she was sitting. So he let the silence continue unbroken.

Party yawned.

"Im still in your bed."

"Yeah, ya are."

"There is plenty of room for two people."

Party raised his eyebrows. What was she suggesting?

"No. Ugh. I mean you said that there was no where else to sleep. So we might as well share. Unless you want me to sleep on the floor somewhere."

Party shook his head. "No, its okay." He tore his shirt off and Siren made a high pitched noise.

"I know this is probably the first time you have ever heard this, but I dont want to have sex with yo-"

"Im just changing my shirt. Calm down." Party cut her off. He pulled on a worn out band shirt and kicked off his boots. He then turned off the lights and walked to the empty side of the bed. While he crawled under the sheets, Siren scooted as far away from him as possible. She laid on her side, facing away from him.

"Goodnight Siren."

"Shut up and sleep."

So he did.
