Chapter 16: Long Time No See

Kobra was happier than he ever had been in his entire life. The previous night at the club started awkwardly. He had sat next to Nova at the bar while Party and Siren danced. She downed one beer after the next, but still never seemed to be drunk.

"Why arent you dancing?" she asked him. Her voice was soft and melidous. He was shocked into silence.

"Uh- well I, I dont really dance."

"Oh, me neither." She sipped her beer.

Kobra had just stared at her. She eventually looked up at him, and he didnt look away.

"What?" she inquired, looking sideways at him.

"Uh- well. Nothing."

"O-kaay." She shook her head and sipped her beer.

"What?" it was Kobra's turn to ask.

"Maybe you should grow a pair and make a move."

He had been shocked by her outburst, but he took her chin with his fingers and kissed her.

After that, things escalated quickly.

They didnt go any farther than making out, but he woke up to her kissing him on the forehead.

"Im going to take a shower." she whispered in his ear as she got up from the bed.

"Why dont you let me join you?" he mumbled jokingly.

She turned around as she got to the bedroom door. "Why dont you?" She smiled and bit her lip as the door slammed behind her.

Kobra had never gotten out of bed so quickly in his life

Breakfast was pleasant to say the least. For the most part, everyone was happy, all though they most were a bit hungover. Crossfire looked sick and clung to Ghoul for support, but he didnt seem to mind.

They were all joking and eating their power pup when a car pulled out front.

"Dr. Death must be here." Party said as he put down his can. Nuclear Siren put her hair in a ponytail and got out from her booth.

Just then a Killjoy in a green pleather jacket with spiked hair rolled in Dr. Death Defying in a wheelchair. When the girls saw him, they all froze, shocked.

"Ch- Christian?" Siren spurt out.

He took of his sunglasses in one swift movement. "Hey babe. Long time no see."
