{Year 10}

- 12:45 pm -

"Audrey, what happened to you? You are shaking!"

I am torn from my thoughts with Miss Smiths surprised exclaimation and her gentle hand on my forearm. Her eyes are filled with worry behind her thick rimmed glasses, and she doest seem to notice when the rest of the class snickers amongst themselves.

"Just an incident with a couple of water balloons Miss," I try not to let my voice wobble too much, but judging by the narrowing of her eyes she took note of the emotion welling up inside me.

Thankfully, she doesn't say anything more about my drenched state and I am free to wallow in my own self pity when she walks back up to the front of the classroom. The snickering continues but I manage to ignore the sound, busying myself with refreshing my instagram feed.

"Oi Audrey, is it a bit nippy in here or are you just excited to see me?" Someone calls from the front of the classroom.

The rest of the class erupts in laughter as I look up in surprise. My gaze meets Chris, one of the rudest guys in my year, smirking at me with his eyes focused on my chest area. I look down to see that the water has drenched through my shirt and bra, making how cold I am very apparent to everyone in the room. My cheeks heat and my lip curls as I look back up at a laughing Chris.

"Piss off Chris." I growl.

My retort only makes my classmates laugh harder, and soon they have all swivelled around in their seats to face me. Miss Smith is trying to figure out how to work the projector so she doesn't realise what is happening despite my silent pleas for help. The door slams open, hitting the wall, and Jungkook walks in. His eyes meet mine, and then they drift down. I grimace, folding my arms over my chest, and he frowns, his eyebrows drawing together.

"Good one JK!"

A couple of guys slap Jungkook on the back as he walks down the aisle of chairs, and he smiles, returning high-fives. He slips into the seat beside mine and I stare very hard at the blackboard, ignoring his persistent stare. I can feel his eyes on me. When I am sick of him staring I turn around to tell him to "piss off" but he is no longer looking at me. He is glaring at the boys watching me, watching my chest, and he pokes his tongue into his cheek.

"Okay, settle down class." Miss Smith calls from the front of the classroom, she has been trying to get our attention during the awful confrontation.

I settle into my seat, placing my books and pencil case onto my desk, ready to start taking notes. From the corner of my eyes I see Jungkook shrugging off his jacket and turning to face me.

"Put this on." His voice is gruff, and I watch as his gaze flickers between me and my classmates.

"No way, asshole." I scoff, and take out my sparkly pen from my pencil case.
