Chapter 13: Excursion

"How about now, (Y/N)?"

Ray looks at you with a hint of boredom in his eyes. On his behalf, it's still 12. He grabs his guitar and starts to tune it to a drop D tuning. You don't know what is he going for, but you know what is the D in the guitar.

"Song?"

"Aces High"

"Iron Maiden, nice"

He starts strumming in a certain beat. He only has an acoustic guitar, but he dreams of a fender for most of his time alive. Like a puppy begging for treats and will do anything to get it. You smile, something you rarely do in your past self. Honestly, you love the song some much, you just don't know how to express it except to listen and hum the melodic track.

Just then your Ray's phone gives him a ringtone to signal for an incoming call. He stops playing the guitar and just give it to you for save keeping rather than leaning against the wall. He takes his phone and answer the call. He puts it on speaker mode for no reason in particular.

"Hello, this Ray"

"Hey Ray, you're comin' or what?"

"Who is this? Oh wait is you Gerard"

"The one and only"

"Wait, how the heck do you get my number?"

"(Y/N)"

Ray sees you with irritation. You just glare at him jokingly. You shrug and let that statement slides away and flows from a waterfall. He mentally face palms himself

"Anyway, can we go now? Mean is like half an hour more"

"Yeah, we're already there"

"Nice"

"See ya later!"

"See ya"

You guess that something's up. Maybe they're planning to do something to you. Maybe violence that you can take over. Maybe entertainment until you have your full desire accomplished. Maybe something tragic until the capital T is overheard by many elders. Wise ones and foolish ones. None survived at the end because all of them are dead. Legacy will fade away like memories.

"Let's go now!"

[Time Skip -12:41 pm, Park]

You and Ray decided to walk to the park, it only took 7 minutes to get there. Anyway, you saw Gerard in the distance surrounded by trees, you know that place very well and Mikey near the lake. Ray decides to split up and he sprints over to Mikey, who is obviously aiming to Ray to go with him. 'Touche, Ray,' you thought to yourself while walking over to Gerard.

The more closer you get, the more Gerard acts flustered and scared and you have to walk curiously to see what cause his reaction. But he starts to act confident again, wait what? You are confused. So you start walk cautiously and steadily to your beating heart. But he looks at his shoe and started to act filled with despair, what are trying to do Gerard?! make up your mind!

As he looks down without a single word, you touch his shoulder without him noticing. He's startled by your sudden action. Then, he motions his hand to move to the right direction. You recognize this place.

"The forgotten arch, one of my favorite place. Why do you pick this place?"

You questioned with a monotonous voice. He stares at the ground blankly. You're guessing that he's thinking of a valid reason so you wouldn't underestimate his purpose to have lunch together.
