"Ray!?"
You shake his body so he's back out of the black. No response in return. You look at the Gerard, both filled with vexation. Gerard goes to Ray's level, his legs are his main support and he checked his pulse. Slow yet steady, not as common as a normal person. So he concludes that he's still alive. But his face. Oddly there is tears.
"Don't worry, he's drugged."
You try to slow down you're panicked respiration and start to focus on the main subject. Ray. You dragged his body so he can rest below the tree's shade. The sun is nice and partially cloudy. The outcome is certainly breeze and not gale. Good enough to let the oxygen flow. The grass are hungry for water and it's gripping to your shoes.
"Where's Mikey?"
"He's with The Leo's now, he told me before."
"I'm trusting you know? Great."
You sit and lean against the cold bark. The leaves are thick so sunlight couldn't escape so easily. Gerard is sitting next to your right side and Ray is in the other. Your legs up your chin. Now all you need is to wait until the drug come off. But every a minute or two, you'll check his pulse. To determine if he's going to be alive at this moment.
"(Y/N)?"
Gerard's raspy voice with a hint of lack of caffeine emerges. You response with a quick hum.
"Anyway, I was thinking my last confession."
"Haven't you had enough? seeing me suffer like slaves. I didn't deserve any given sympathy. As you can see clearly I'm just a remnant of despair. Only hopes of violence that I feel."
"No, you can't just be the person who's like that."
The light breeze runs and escapes through gaps of your figure. You look at Gerard that doesn't look you back. Instead, he just look at the place where you both have the 'picnic'. Gerard's arm supports his weight by placing it on the basket of food.
"From the moment I saw you and heard you, I felt that I met three person at the same time."
"What do you mean? you would only see me as a person that wants to hide their insanity."
"An allegiance, a lunacy, and a desolate."
"Really?"
"I guess, I could say I have that sort of talent."
"What do you think of me now?"
"If I tell you the truth, you may hate me."
"True, the truth is hard to reconsider."
You see the empty yet fertile land. You're bored, uninterested to see a transparent figure of a boy playing and killing bugs. Although you usually enjoy, but it's non-existence. Metaphorically, you still want to train. But literally, Gerard is in no shape to continue. So you decided to examine Gerard.
Rusty yet comforting. Brave yet hesitant. Sassy yet awkward. Can't decide on one persona. Frankly, maybe he's bipolar. It's almost as obvious as a white dove between black doves. What does that make you? A sociopath or a misunderstood teenager that rebels and seeks joy out of suffering. Either way is correct.
"Wait," grabbing his attention.
"An allegiance? That's a rather misplaced for you to say to me."
"But it's true."
"How is that so?"
"Even though you enjoy seeing others in pain, those the one who vow and became your ally will be loyal to you. You, on the other hand, treats them like sibling."
"In the situation where you have choose between violence or your gang-"
"My gang."
"Exactly."
That moment you realized his way of observing. It's quite obvious. From that quick talk you brighten up a bit. Then you saw a piece of paper stuck to Ray's grip. So immediately you grasp it with force and cautiously. You read it. It's the same with yours. But why was he crying?
"Oh fu-"
"Ray!"
His eyes flutter open. Adrenaline hits you like a bus. You've been toss because of the sudden hit and landed in front of a vending machine. Then, the bus fell on top. Causing the vending machine to dispense a ton of soda. Such luck. But only the ultimate luck star can enjoy that.
"You're alive!"
You hug him out of sheer enthusiasm.
"Why were you crying?" Your voice becomes momentous.
"I just found out the person that I like, manipulated me."
"Wait, You like Mikey?!" You and Gerard screamed but it didn't make a ruckus at the empty arena.
"Shhh! I don't like him," Gerard frown. You pet his back.
"I loved him."
