Chapter 8 : A Heroic Hero

Jestro's POV:
I held up my dagger and tried to stab him but I failed. Monstrox was faster. He dodged it easily.

"Hah, you think you can stop me?" He said as he called Pola in. Pola is one of his tech infection monsters, as well as the only female, I suppose.

"Guard the Princess," he ordered.

"Yes, master," said Pola as she dragged Macy towards the stairs and stood in front of her to make sure that she couldn't run away. Her hands were chained as Pola knew that she would attack her.

"You, are just, sooooo evil!!!" I shouted at Monstrox.

"Yeah, ain't I awful?" He cackled as I tried to stab him again.

"Well, like what I told you," Monstrox said in the middle of our fight. "It won't be that easy... Monsters!!!!"

A massive number of his tech infection monsters came in as he spoke.

Dang it! I did not bring my Nexo shield, as Merlok was fast asleep and the fortrex was very far away from here.

I have no choice but to keep fighting, well, mostly dodging.

"JESTRO!!!!!!!!!" Macy screamed like mad.

"I'm fine, Macy," I told her. "Today, I'm going to be a heroic hero, I won't be looked down by others again!"

"Jestro... No... Just don't do this for me..." Macy said weakly." You are already a heroic hero, since you first joined us."

"People laugh at me, Macy," I said as I dodged another attack. "I can't stand that."

"I know," said Macy. "I know how it feels, and I'm sure that they'll know about it too someday. Well, Jestro, there is something that I should've told you a long time ago..."

"What is it?" I asked her.

"Aaarrrggghh!!!!!" Monstrox suddenly screamed. "Aim at the Princess, Fred!"

"No!!!!" I shouted as I leaped in front of her.

"JESTRO!!!!!!!!!!!!" Macy screamed as I laid on the floor, breathlessly.

"Heh heh, nice shot, Fred!" praised Monstrox.

"Thanks, boss," he said as he ran towards the other monsters.

"C'mon," Monstrox said. "Let's let them have their moment, we'll finish them along with those Nexo nitwits later, if he is able to wake up, ha ha ha..."

"Jestro... Why..." Macy said as she managed to unchain herself and wake me up.

"Macy..." I told her. "Ain't I a heroic hero?"

"Yes, yes you are, Jestro..." Macy said as she started to cry.

"Macy," I said. "Before I die, I wanna ask you something."

"Yes, anything..."Macy said.

"What do you... t-think about me?" I asked her.

"Well," she said. "You are courageous, charming, amazing, outstanding, and you are willing to selflessly stand up to anybody and I admire you for that. That makes you a truly heroic hero. And you are also impressive, kind, generous, friendly...and adorable!" She said as she gently hugged me. I smiled as I blushed.

"Oh, one more thing," she said. "You know, I haven't managed to tell you just now that, I, Princess Macy Halbert..."

I waited patiently for her to continue.

"...harbored a massive crush on you, Jestro,"she continued as I blushed even brighter. "And I mean it. I've had a crush on you since we're at the Knights' Academy."

"M-M-Me too..." I replied.

"Really? Is this true?" She asked me, surprised.

"Yes, but I did not have enough courage to tell you." I replied. "You are a Princess, Macy. But I... I'm just a jester... We weren't meant to be together..."

"Nonsense!" she said."We were meant to be, Jestro."

"B-B-But..."I tried to say.

"No buts, Jestro," she said with a strict face. "I love you for who you are, not what you are. You, are a jester. And you, are also a heroically heroic hero, a Knight of the realm. But, I won't mind loving you, even if you re not a Knight, or a jester."

"R-R-Really?" I asked her.

"Yes, really," she said. "I love you, Jestro."

"I-I-I love you too, Macy..." I replied. Oh, it felt so much better after I confessed to her. Then, we kissed.

We KISSED!!! I've never been kissed by a girl before, on the lips, especially a girl like Macy, who is a Princess.

"Oh, there is one more thing that I have to tell you too, Macy," I said afterwards.

"What is it, Jestro?" she asked me.

"T-T-That... I...faked my injury," I said as I showed her my body.

"Oh, you little..." She said as she rubbed my head mischievously.

"Hee hee!"I giggled. "I managed to block the attack with my daggers."

"Wow, you're fast, Jestro," she said as she helped me up.

"Don't thank me, thank my trainer, Clay," I said, smiling. She smiled back.

We chatted as we held hands and walked.

Just after we left the Royal Arena, Clay arrived. He noticed our hands.

"Oh," he said, surprised. "So the two of you are officially a couple now."

I looked at Macy as she looked at me.

"Yes," the both of us replied.

"Oh, so Shia's plan worked!" He said.

"Shia's plan?!?" Macy and I exclaimed.

"Yeah," Clay said. "He told me to write two letters, one for you and one for Macy, and let the both of you meet at the Knightonia Central Park at 12.00 at the midnight, so that the two of you could confess to each other, with just silence surrounding the two of you. You know what, Jestro, I spent most of my time finding your workbook and imitate your writing, as well as Macy's."

"So, it was YOU that wrote the letters," I said. "And this was all Shia LaBlade's idea?!?"

"Yeah, thank him, don't thank me," Clay said.

"Thank you?!?" Macy said.

"You're welcome!" Clay said, mischievously.

"Why you..." We said as we chased Clay around.

Moments after, we stopped to rest for a while.

"Okay, this is enough," said Clay. "Wait... Why did you two end up at the Royal Arena? You're supposed to be at the park."

"Well, it's a long story..." I said as we walked back to the fortrex, happily chatting with each other.
